Spent most of yesterday interviewing for a senior accounts bod. Saw 8 people in all and made no appointment because of the poor quality of candidate.

Candidate 2:

JB: When would you be able to take up this position
C2: From the beginning of May, but I would need to take three months off from June as I'm going to visit relations in Australia!

Candidate 3:

Before I've even had time to ask him a question

C3: I'd just like to make clear from the outset that I'm gay
JB: I see, and you consider this to be the single most important factor in applying for this job do you?

Candidate 5

JB: From your point of view, what do you consider to be the most important aspect of this job?
C5: I was coming to that. What are the maternity arrangements like? I need to know because I'm nearly 4 months pregnant!

Candidate 6:

JB: So you think....
C6: Please don't interupt me, it's rude as I haven't finished giving you may answer

The worrying thing here is that these people looked good on paper and I'd spent a lot of time weedling out the complete tossers. How do people ever expect to get a job     :( :(

JB: well we have a company pram that you can use and we also have baby changing facilities and we are building a creche:D

Seriously though, be carefull about this one. I heard a true story about a pregnant woman going for an interview for a job, which involved some light lifting. She didn't get the job and successfully sued for discrimination due to her being pregnant. Nearly put the shop out of business:eek: I think she got about £10K:eek:

Bitch:mad: she had no intention of working, just wanted to screw some money out of someone:mad:

That's not why she didn't get the job.

The small matter of not knowing basic accounting, couted against her in the end :D

Lol - no chance would he hire someone from here - he knows full well they'd spend all their time on the BBS rather than working, before fiddling the accounts in order to buy goddies from Bren :D

Ability would be nice..... talent maybe....

Although I'm starting to think that for this particular job I'll have to settle for someone with associate membership of the human race.

AT least the preggers one wasn't the gay one. Then you really would have a can of worms on your hands by not hiring her...

Had a good one the other day, young guy was appling for a job as a Customer Advisor which involves as you would guess from the job title a lot of interaction with the public, halfway through the interview he tells me he hates dealing with people
