Anyone know of any decent movies to watch - controversial less obvious films

stuff like

Natural Born Killers
Romper Stomper
Battle Royale

Watched Battle royale last night - such a cool film albeit a little violent, but violence never hurt anyone right!!!

american history x
and american pyscho....both pretty controversial.
and highly watchable.

its in black and white....its ok...but not as good
as the above two films:)

Just a warning. It is quite violent.

The Way of the Gun is another entertaining movie. Del Torro is always cool.

Pulp Fiction, Resevoir Dogs.... in fact any of the Quentin Tarantino films are rock solid!

The best line of all time is in that film -

"Shut that c*nt's mouth before I come over there and ****-start
her head!"

First time I saw it, I had to replay that line, couldn't believe he'd said it! :D:D

Bad Boy Bubby

Lesser known aussie flick from late 80's or early nineties.

It's SUPPOSED to be a series flick about a young guy getting integrated into society after his hard upbringing.

f_ck me wierd is not the word but f_ckin funny is oh and a bit sick too

VERY MUCH RECOMMENDED

It is when when you have a huge debate afterwards on which was the best gag in it! :D

(Even though I've seen it dozens of times!)

If you like films like Friday, Menace II Society and American History X to an extent, check out Higher Learning.

With Laurence Fishburne, Omar Epps (I think), Ice Cube and Busta Rhymes.

Still one of my all time favourites. :)

Just saw 25th hour by Spike Lee yesterday. Worth a watch

If you can try to catch Meet the Feebles (Muppet Show on Acid), and Dead Alive. Both from Jackson.

If you want a bit of a laugh, I saw Dog Soldiers. Not a great movie but had its moments

Then there is the Reanimator and the recently released Beyond Reanimator.

This thread is actually quite usefull since I am organising a movie night. Aint the SXOC great?

:D

Braindead (Peter Jackson, you're right) is great, as are pi and Cube or The Cube or whatever the hell it was called. That guy that gets "diced" - awesome :) pi isn't violent, but very cool, the soundtrack is great as well.

The Thing was a quality file. I just love the bit where its all morphing and stuff at the end and where Kurt Russel goes "Yeah fvck you too" had me in stitches!
