Headgasket?

I'm currently rebuilding my ca18 with wossner low comp pistons (8.1:1) and steel rods etc. and was wondering what thickness headgasket you would recommend for it, the car will be coming your way once its built for a custom map.

On another note, are there any aftermarket ecus that you are familiar with to tune, looking to find an ecu that uses MAP sensors instead of afm's and possibly can control boost. unless using some fancy electrickery u can make a standard ecu use a map sensor?

The gasket thickness will depend on how much you've had off the head and block and how much boost you want to run. Aim for a CR of about 8:1

I'm familiar with Power FC and solaris, but we can usually get any system to work.

Any reason for wanting a MAP system?

not having the worry or the car dying if i blow a boost hose and running stand alone would allow me to have ecu controlling boost. thanks for that.
