Help me find an S14(Please)

I'm after a 1998 or later S14 Touring in either black or blue, manual, c.30k miles or less, and I've a budget of £9,500-£10,000.

If anyone sees such a car for sale on their travels could you please let me know as I'm getting fed up looking!
I've got the cash stuffed in a pillowcase waiting to be spent on the right car and would really appreciate the help of all you lovely people and I figure that 80 pairs of eyes are better than one.

Have you looked on the Nissan Website to find Dealers in the Essex Area?

If you want to be different you could get a Jap import. There is a massive choice - anything from an immaculate standard car to a fully kitted up, boosted up banzai wagon. I reckon with that sort of money in total you could pick up an immaculate 3-4 year old K'S Aero with under 20K on the clock.

Theres a lot of waiting around waiting for it to arrive though, so not the best choice for the impatient. You also have to bear in mind the car will be a different spec to UK which can be good or bad depending on how you look at it.

cross road motors just outside of ashford (kent) in challock have an R reg met blue S14 with leather and touring pack but im not sure of the mileage, they want £9995 for it. if your interested let me know and ill get all there details for you.

Thanks for all your replies, it's a shame I can't read them cos my interweb server firewall cookie IT techno thingy doesn't want to show them to me!!

Still I'm on nights for the next three days so I should have plenty of surf time to find a motor.

Whilst we're on the subject of used motors, has anyone purchased a nissan aftermarket warranty? I was wondering how much it would set me back for my Almera and the 200 when I eventually get it and whether they're worth the cash?

BeanS14; tried all the local dealers with no luck, although I did call a certain dealer in Basildon who didn't even bother to call back, then again this is typical of my experience of them!

JB; Yep, tried Autotrader, got a few interesting leads but it's too slow and I've got no patience, cheers anyway.

Kenny; I rang the no. in the main post but the chap said they didn't have anything in?
I'll drop you a line when I have a sec over the next couple of day's if that's ok?

Nissan sold me a 3-mth warrnaty with mine when I bought it last October. It cost £125!! Seemed to cover most things & my other ½ said that the premium warranty by that company would cover things like the cat, which sounded attractive. To get a 36-mth warranty up-front via Nissan would've cost £495

Haven't claimed under it so don't know what it's like.

Have actually bought my warranty from Warranty Direct - covers "wear & tear", which I think means that if your shock crumble into dust you can claim under the warranty, but if they're just a bit soggy you ain't covered. Unhelpfully, I can't remember what the policy cost was, tho' I seem to remember that they were all much of a muchness. U can get quotes via the AutoTrader website if UR interested.

[Still undecided if warranties are a good idea. ECU on my Corrado was screwed so had to get a replacement - tried to claim under warranty for that [Highway - avoid 'em like the plague! http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/frown.gif ], but they wiggled out on a technicality so it cost me £630 for the ECU & other faults & not a damn penny from the rotten warranty co.]

I got onto Warranty Direct online for a quote, and for my car with 59,000 miles, on the standard policy they wanted £235 for one year and 20,000 miles which isn't too bad. Only thing is they wanted the car serviced by the manufacturers recommendations, miles and time, so I haven't bothered yet.

Camden Nissan in Northampton have a black S Reg for £9995. Don't know anymore about it. Just saw it as I went past. Let me know if you want the number for them.
