hey,

Would a 2.5" exhaust restrict a 2871r from making much power above 300bhp?

I'm tring to identify the problem restricting me below 300bhp with a 2871r?

Have you ever heard of 2.5" exhausts restricting this turbo or whats your opinion?

I wouldn't have thought so. 300bhp isn't that much boost on a 2871r. It may be restrictive at 370-390bhp when it's really huffing.

Yes ... even 2.75. I got in an s13 @around 430HP with 1.4bar of boost (around 22psi), it was much better with a 3" mongoose V2 than with a 2.75" mongoose V1 (but much louder too).
But it didnt' limit to below 300hp, it was still above 400HP ...

How much pressure do you run ? What is your intercooler ? how good is your clutch ? etc ...

It was looking like a breathing problem from the graph. Clutch is a brand new ACT clutch kit. IC was also suggested that could of being causing the problem, it sits in front of the rad type design. I was hoping i could solve the issue without having to replace both, question is which one should be replaced first.

What sort of IC is it? I got 550bhp with an FMIC in front of the rad - works fine.

Was on my 1st car when i bought it, was told it was apex

99.9% certain thats not an apex one, unless its a ridiculasly old prototype or something??
