View Full Version : Anyone fancy some drag racing?

Hi folks,

Over on mkivsupra.net we've secured the private hire of Santa Pod for a day (it's our main club event of the year and we call it Suprapod). It's on Saturday 18th October 2008 - 1 month away. We have capacity for 75 cars total to run, the price is £55 per competitor and £5 per spectator and we have 45 Supras confirmed and paid up. There will be more but to introduce some variety we're inviting selected other car clubs along and so I'm inviting you guys.

We're expecting some Monaro's, some MR2's, Soarers and Aristos. The track will be fully prepped so it'll be the best chance of getting your best time on the 1/4 mile and for the entry price you get unlimited runs - with the numbers we're limiting it to there should be no queues.

I know you guys are more into drifting but just testing to see if any SXOC'ers fancy it. Full details and how to pay / register here:

I'd say at this point we can take 5 SX's, maybe more depending on response from other invited clubs for the remaining 20 or so places.

I would be but i don't think my gearbox would like it as much :(
One to keep in mind for next year though when the new toy's should have it running good times :thumbs:

Would a friendly mod move us into a UK widey bit - would be nice to see some SX's along. You guys have excellent power to weight so don't need much to keep up with the average Supra TT. Will be a fun day playing! :)

I may be up for this but i need to check a couple of things first:thumbs:

I wonder how the chaser will compare to the TT supras.........:cool:

Yeah it's nice to have the place privately for a full day :)

Get yourself booked in as above - other car clubs are being invited too for a mix of competition so don't wanna hold spaces and find they could've been used elsewhere!

Any chance of being able to get access to the side of the track for some photography??

Not tunning enough power to warrant the runs but would love to come along with the camera.

Sure no problem. Just pay as a spectator on the gate on the day and if anyone asks tell them tDR from the club cleared it on sxoc.
