View Full Version : FAO JEZ or anyone in the know
Hi Jez ive just fitted my Nismo 555cc injectors and an ecu with one of your stage 2 chips, all went well only trouble is now the car wont start, it trys but doesnt make it, its got fuel at both ends of the rail and ive tried pulling the fuel fuse in case it flooded but still nothing.
Please help me :confused::confused::confused:
Where did you get the ECU upgrade from? Who fitted it? Most probs like this are a fitting issue.
One other issue is that when you change the injectors the engine will flood. If the ECU is all cool, then you may need to remove the fuel pump fuse, start the car, then replace the fuel pump fuse.
I bought the ECU from a member on here with upgrades fitted by your self i think as its got H-Dev stage 2 written on the side in black marker, ive tried removing the fuel pump fuse, turned it over twice put it back in but still wouldnt start.
Its a JDM S14 Silvia 1995 manual mate
And which car was the stage 2 ECU from?
A UK S14 1995 although the ECU had a Japanese stamp on it
OK, that'll be why it doesn't work. JDM and UK ECUs are wired differently.
You'll need to get your JDM ECU remapped
Ah right would i be able to run my ECU with the 555cc injectors to get me to work in the morning then???
Would the chip itself fit my ECU as in if i sent you both ECU's could you swap them round for me and it work???
Jez will the chip and daughter board from the uk ecu work in my jdm ecu??? or do i need a whole new chip/board???
Cheers
You'd be best off selling the UK S14 ECU and getting the JDM ECU remapped. The UK S14 ECU upgrade won't work with the JDM ECU
How much would i be looking at for a stage 2 re-map for the JDM ECU then mate including your mail order fitting service and how quick would turn around be???
I need to get the car up and running asap.
The stage 2 ECU upgrade is £224.99, fitting is £24.99, return next day postage is £9.99. If we got it tomorrow you'd get the ECU back on Friday.
Hi Jez ive put my standard JDM ecu back in and left the 555cc injectors in, but my car wont start now either. I know not to run the car on them but isnt it meant to start with the 555's in???
Its probably flooded - do the fuel pump fuel trick.
