MOT is due next week and I'm just wondering what the deal is with the different mileage displayed on the clocks?

On the last MOT Certificate it was ~188000kms, with the 'new' clocks it shows ~92000kms.

Can't they just change it to the new reading?

Thanks
Si

Why
To change from kph to mph I assume.

I changed the clocks in mine and didn't give a second thought to the milage being out. It's been through 2 MOTs since without any problems :)

Booked in for next week - The tester said all he does is put in what the clocks show, it doesn't matter what the previous certificate has recorded.

Mine still reads kph :)

It wont matter, its only illigal if you clock them and then try to sell the vehical with lower milage than what it has done :)

nope its all fine...done a few import cars that have been imported and the mileage is different...

Also....What if the original clocks break and you put in a second hand set? As above, as long its legitimate, then it doesnt matter.
