PS13 rear quarter glass

Someone tried breaking into my car last night , just broke drivers side rear quarter glass:furious:

does anyone know where i can get a replacment from? :thumbs:

I'll be interested to know the outcome on this. It'll be interesting to see what the insurance company have to say about it - being a non european model, Autoglass or whoever would have to get a new one from Japan or US??

An insurance affiliated glass company provided me with a rear quarter glass for my Evo IV (import only) and they had it sorted very quickly even though it's an old import. I was genuinely surprised and I asked one of the guys working there how they sorted it, he replied something along the lines of they can cut glass into whatever shape for whatever car as long as they have the design? So hopefully you should be ok. I'm interested in the outcome of this because I own as ps13 too.

not rung insurance company yet .

tried a few national windscreen companies today but no luck :down:

all said i would have to contact nissan main dealer .

Just call your insurance company and get them to sort it, that's what you pay them for!!

Doesn't affect your NCB to claim for a screen and it'll be around £50 excess so I don't know why you're bothering to mess around :confused:

Not all insurers do this. My sisters car was broken into recently and her policy stated it'll affect her NCB if she made a claim on windows. Mine however was as you stated, £50 excess no further issues.

was hoping to get a secondhand one just to get it sorted quickly.

rang nissan dealer today said they could get one in 2to3 weeks £224= vat

going to ring sky tomorrow

The rear quarter glass are held in by 2 clip's and bonded iirc, it makes cutting them out another car a long-ish task, but not impossible, i've cutr a good few out now.



it's s13 glass i've cut out.
