Why is it that all 0-60 stats in mags and on the net are a pile of sh1t!
xoticar.co.uk has got a 200sx down as 0-60 of 7.8 but an MR2 aas 5.9
This really annoys me cos people that read these stats will get a false image of the mighty 200, and maybe of other cars too
Autocar put the S14 0-60 time in their road test at 6.4. I think that's pretty damn good. I'd be more inclined to use their time. :D
the MR2 Turbo does do 0-60 in around 6secs their 200 time was a bit out though.
I thought the MR2 Turbo was 5.1 or something ridiculous!
My Punto is shown as 14.3 so it might be a bit faster, then?

MR2 turbos are aroung 6.5 to 60 as standard, bloody quick cars. The 94+ cars have 240 bhp.

I go by autocar results beacuse they actually get the car to do the times they publish, and they are also gernerally the best times aswell.
Sweet J3sus, they were a bit out , try more like a mile out!:(
0-60 are bull anyway ... it only uses 2 gears ...hence Scoobies are always ahead of me ... until you use 3rd and above.
1/4mile times is what comapanies should be using,
I agree. However, if you use the standard acceleration increments in 2nd/3rd and 4th/top, the results are really sh1te!
What's the max in-gear speed for 2nd in an S14a, then?
Autocar results for standard S14
3rd/2nd
10-30 8.1/4.3
20-40 6.0/3.2
30-50 4.6/2.8
40-60 4.1/2.9
50-70 4.3/-
60-80 4.5/-
top/4th
20-40 13.8/9.6
30-50 10.9/7.5
40-60 9.2/6.3
50-70 8.1/5.6
60-80 7.7/5.9
70-90 8.2/6.3
80-100 9.4/6.8
Not to bad...until you realise it got its ar$e whipped in every increment under 60 by a Probe and Corrado VR6.
I have got just under 80 in 2nd
Figures quoted are always standard, remember.

Mine bounces off the rev limiter at an indicated 75 +/- 3mph for limiter jerking.
According to GPS my speedo is exactly 10% too high at 70 to 140mph
I dont know if this is normal ........ havent raised the rev limit at all ... just the BHP
