Hiya,
im looking at possibly a 2871r in the next couple of months but am going to use an external wastegate. can you spec the turbo with no internal wastegate? if so can it have a V band housing?
also whats the merits of the .64 vs .86 versions, in terms of spooling and power?
cheers

We can spec the turbo using one of the new Tial external wastegated turbine housings which have a v-band inlet and outlet. I don't have the exact prices from Tial on the GT28 housings yet but to spec a turbo with one of their housings I suspect you'll be looking at an extra £150 or so over the price of an off the shelf GT2871R.

The 0.86 is slightly slower in response but ultimately makes more power.
