I hate friday and saturday nights in its so depressing.... epecially when everybody else you know has gone out and enjoy nothing more than rubbing it in. Since owning my car... this staying in malarki has become a regular occurence. And why is weekend telly so crap.... with the likes of sad people who cant get a date... or blokes with a fetish for hairy women.... do they think that peeps who are not out boozing are brain dead ....whats going on....... oh god i need vodka.... but i also need optimax.......the strain of a weekend in:rolleyes:

What a splendid idea but the amount of fuel i will be guzzling will no doubt dip into my savings for my car to be done but none the less if it gets unbearable i will be off to the nearest set of lights:D

I went out for the first time in ages last saturday, and ended up unconcious after allegedly "staring" at someone.

Spent the rest of the night in hospital, and the rest of the week feeling like I've had my head kicked in

Welcome to Plymouth :D This weekend, I'm glad to stay in ;)

vega

Just over 2 weeks to go now, and it all be better

Hey Vega, really sorry to hear that, I used to live in Croydon and spent most of my years (since 12 anyway) doing karate, kickboxing, thai boxing, aikedo and judo and the even then that's only half of what you need to deal with people with that mentality. I can recommend Geoff Thompson's book "watch my back" though to get into the mind set of a street fighter as reading that is worth IMHO 100 hours of heavy sparring, maybe more. Then again, there is no win really. :( I remember seeing a guy in a club about 5 foot from me, who started on a smaller guy and then 7 of the smaller guys mates jumped the aggressor with bottles and glasses. The whole event was over within 5 secs, 6 max, they legged it out of the club and the bouncers got out the way. The guy was still standing but I saw him outside shortly after with two girls he was with holding him up and his face was in ribbons and would have been unstitchable. Now I cannot really speak for them, but I'd say even Tito Ortiz, Pat Smith, well any of those guys couldn't have done much better ...

Well, I know exactly how you feel...

I've just been stung with a couple of massive bills, I only got paid last week and I'm already skint... Last time I went out clubbing I got in a fight and some bastid bit me so I ended up in hospital having injections at 6 in the morning.

Now I'm sat in with some special offer red wine from Sainsburys feeling bored :(

On the other hand, I did just pick up my new fully build engine this morning!!! :D

I'll be up for a meet, definately

I did post my interest on the other thread too, still don't think a place has been decided on yet though. The car goes in on monday, so hopefully 2 weeks should see it running. Then there are few more thing which will need to be finished :)

It would be better if we could meet over a weekend, cos didn't you guys meet up on a Monday last time?

Are you going to any of the shows like Japfest and Billing???

vega
04-04-2003, 21:05
Slow typer

Cheers guys, it is really nasty feeling not being able to fend for yourself. I'm not a small bloke, and never had any problems like that before. Put a bad end to an excellent night :(

lisatiptop1
04-04-2003, 21:10
Well ben at least you have a nice new spanky engine to look at ... and that similar thought is what is keeping my money in the bank and the vodka out of my tummy:D

Console yourself Vega that it is only a question of time before he starts on someone who will rip him to pieces in a very nasty way and your only loss will be that you probably won't be there to see it.
Regarding what you say about not being able to fend yourself and not being a small bloke, well I am a small bloke (5'7'' 12 stone) but I've spent 18 years involved with fighting but even so I could walk into a club tonight, get into trouble and get beaten to a pulp by a far inferior fighter. My stand up fighting is good and my ground fighting and stand up grappling is ok, but in a real situation, it's perceptual skills and your ability to harness your adrenaline (or fight-flight) responses that will decide the outcome. People who get into a lot of fights and win in bars/clubs use dirty tricks and unless you can recoginise them and also are prepared to use them, you won't come out well. I am ranting but I'm in tonight and I feel bad for you as that sort of thing sucks and really pisses me off. I'd best shut up now.

yep the sx has really eaten in to my going out time:rolleyes: the problem also is having my girlfriend living with me means i don`t really need to go out.we've been to more meets this year than pubs, and i can count the number of meets we have been to on one hand:(
And Dan:mad: more sacrifices are now going to have to be made to steal that title back off you:rolleyes: :D :D

No your not going on GN your so right it pisses everybody off when you go out and end up in trouble... so carry on ranting for the silent majority..... Vega meets are cool see you there

I know what you mean though G, beer and adrenaline in my case made things even worse. Speaking to the coppers who came round to see me, they reckon people like this don't even go out to drink much, but more to look for fights, cos thats what they get off on

All I have to do is fit the engine (next weekend) run it in (2 weeks) fit the new turbo and get it mapped...

Well you lot have made me feel relieved i did not go out now so cheers..... the last time i was out i was with my mum and dad who are in there 50''''''s and we had been queing for a taxi for ages at the end of the night... a taxi pulled in and it was our turn so we went to get in when a bunch of dickheads decided they were gonna have it.... to this my dad said " look mate ...wait your turn i have been stood waiting .. im pissed and want to go home " to that they replied by punching my dad in the face and then giving my mum one... but my mum cracked one of them back. But it does go to show that they are idiots and i hope they die long and painful deaths .... they turn a good night that you can only just afford to pay for into a shit night that makes you wish you had of stayed in.... therefore these people take away the freedom to enjoy a good night out...

Cheers Lisa! I cant wait to see it all finished

Ask the regulars on here... Its taken a ridiculously long time to sort this little project out. I think I started it about 9 months ago!!!

lisatiptop1
04-04-2003, 22:33
Would i be right in asuming its taken that long due to the stress on your wallet... or lack of it. I cant believe i bought my s13 for a £1000 and now im about to spend that on a set of wheels... and it dont stop there does it.... the 200 not only emptys a fuel tank quickly but also your wallet.

All the same i would not want anything else... i love it

Good luck mate and are you at billing... might get to see some of your handy work then :D

It took a long time because I sourced all the parts and instructions myself.

I could have got them earlier and saved lots of hassle if I'd paid UK prices for the stuff I bought

lisatiptop1
04-04-2003, 23:11
Did you save much or has what you saved been lost by paying to see a shrink because of pure stress:D Oh do we have to bring our own relish for the delights you will be serving up on the bbq at billing!

What a cool thread, car talk and violence

I'll take the moral high ground, cause violence with your car, if someone starts on you, find out where they live and ata later date run them over... A bit extremem maybe, but it just might work if we all did it.. :p
