I'm looking to go to a city called Almere in Holland, about 20km away from Amsterdam.
Has anyone ever been?
What would you say is teh cheapest/best method of getting over there?

Oh come on... someone must have been there... or nearby...

What are the ferries like? I thinking of getting a press car and doing all the driving.... Or is it better to get to Germany/France and drive round???

BA have been advertising cheap flights, mate. Can you not fly over and get a car on the other side?

I went here (http://www.britishairways.com/travel/home/public/en_gb) and just bunged in a few details at random, and it seemed very cheap to me if I read it right and you're not too fussed about times! :) (Eg, leaving Mon 14 April 2003, 19:30, returning Wed 30 April 2003, 14:50 cost 69.30 - that's far cheaper than any ferry, I think!)

Where do you live, mate? This could be the decision maker. You could probably get a flight for less than a ferry (if you're taking the car). Holland has fantastic public transport and it looks like there's a train line to Almere. The train from Schipol to Amsterdam to Almere will probably cost a under €10.

You could rent a car and go to Amsterdam and stuff, but parking there is fecking expensive:mad:

You'd probably know better than me, BL, but, personally, I wouldn't go near Amsterdam with a car!
