Its supposidly out in the UK here June 20th.....
...but do you think theyve missed the boat a bit when it comes to the street racing scene and everyone modding their cars and going to cruises etc.?
These things are becoming more and more scarce due to cops shutting them down, and racers not being clever enough when organising....
So, dya think this film will get the response it did last time? Or just flop.... ?
I assume alot of you thought the first one was a load of tosh, but Id be interested to hear your thoughts anyway...

The first one was amusing enough, if a little ludicrous when it came to the technical details, but the second one will suck ass. Vin Diesel has refused a role in it. May be worth watching for the cars, I think Skylines are taking more of a part in it.
They won't have missed the boat though, it'll be essential viewing for any berk with a cone filter equipped Nova/Fiesta/Renault 5/106 ( :p at pete :D )

well yeah, being a 106 driver, I WAS really into it last time, I saw it 5 times!!
But i was so amazed at the cars I didnt really care for a story line, and compared to my Pug they were awsome...
now Im in the league of those cars displayed (or sort of) Im not in as much awe at seeing and hearing them on the big screen...
So if the storyline sucks (which I guess it will) I guess I wont like it this time....
hmm....

I loved every single minute of the first and will undoubtedly love every single moment of the second :D
It was never meant to be an accurate film afterall, I think people are a little too harsh on its technical details - anyone who has ever seen or heard a topic they know a lot about portrayed in a film will have experienced the same thing.
I still watch the first only for the comedy effect tbh, all those weird one liners which come from nowhere and seem to depart from a line of conversation to sound cool have me in stitches:D
however it is pretty much the only car film to show some of the excitement of fast cars i guess....even tho they aren't apart from the supra...
the second one will be horrendous, as said, only worth viewing for the cars, the type of person it will appeal to will know little about cars but really like the cool factor of max power or something, i dunno, judgemental maybe but i dont think anyone i know will be wathcing it because they think it will be great, i would watch it to see if anything is of note in it but not for a storyline or anything...i dunno...i shall shutup now:D
Just remember to double-de-clutch on the up change for a faster 1/4 time....
That had me rolling around and hurting myself with laughter!
And that POS staying with the Hemmey Charger, yeah right!

just enjoy it for what it was... it wasn't supposed to be a documentary about streetracing and a guide to high power car modification. It's a hollywood film that glamourises street racing. I mean how many genuinely fit women do you see at cruises? (and if the answer is more than 5 and they weren't paid to be there then tell me when and where!!! :D )
the director did well in that it was about fast cars, and you pretty much got the element of speed even if they weren't actually fast cars in reality. The plot (while weak) had bits which felt like you were accelerating hard then sudden slow bits to contrast...
Ok i'll shut up now, but I expect TF&TF2 to be just as entertaining (and I own a car that is probably just as quick as most of the cars featured in TF&TF1(?))

I know of one guy that produces the occasional record for a client of ours, its only on the side and it never really makes him any money.
He doesn't work as well, he earns his cash from street racing in chicago, its a full time pro thing.
$15,000 a race!!
god knows how much he has spent on his cars?
i guess it could be a bit more glamourous, and i judging by some of the fit women in the US (well the ones i saw) its got to be good!!!! :D
as far as I see it, they aren't and weren't aiming for a boat. They saw something out there (street racing) and decided to make a hollywood action flick out of it. Now they're doing the same again because they made loads of cash. No other reason. They wouldn't have done a sequel if the first one bombed.

Did anyone else feel the same sense of shame and embarsment when they were all sat around the table having a BBQ in the first film praying to the god of turbos!!!
It made me want to chop my own ears off and stuff the bloody holes with my own dung!!
or was that just me!!
Nice cars though:cool:

Its just gonna be a typical sequel, its a cash in on the success of the first, and it will make its money back in 2 weeks! and people who comment on its technical details being inaccurate need to remember its just a Hollywood movie, since when did facts get in the way of a good story :D or even a bad one!!:D

I thought Fast and the Furious was OK, there aren't too many films about imports and I doubt there would be such an interest in Jap cars in the UK if it wasn't for the film.
Its a Jap car, 'American Grafitti' innit ;)
