hi im currently looking at the gt2871r and i believe i will need a stage 3 chip, i currently have A stage 2 chip, who much will it be to upgrade plus fitting??also do i need a really need a tubular manifold??cheers steve

The stage 2->3a upgrade is £99.99, fitting is £9.99
The parts you'll need in addition to stage 2 are:

If you want to run a GT2871 you need stage 3a. Price is the same as stage 3, which requires a GT28RS.

Jez, if going from 2 to 3, would it be worth going for a custom map instead?

I'm hoping to pick up a GT28RS at JAE and taking the next step a couple of months after that.

A custom map might be a better option - at least you'll know its setup 100% :)

sorry to hijack

after wirting off my s14a which is at stage 2! i have taken the engine out which is going into my old s13 that im buying back! i was looking at going to stage 3a while the engine was out so it would make fitting the turbo easier

1) will your new sr maniflold fit ok in an s13?
2) when doing a custom map would you use the stage 3a chip?
3) with a custom map what sort of power output would i be looking at?

1) Yes, it will fit. Theres a chance that you'll have to move the ABS, but I'm 99% sure it'll be fine.
2) Not sure what you mean by this? If you want to buy the stage 3a ECU upgrade and then get it custom mapped afterwards it won't be a problem
3) You should get around 340bhp
