Jusy picked up the Astra GTE and am not that impressed really, the back brakes bind and the whole car is rattly and shakey, engine also hunts a lot on tick over. Yes it goes a lot better than the escort but it needs MOTing and taxing so is it worth the hassle ?

The escort on the other hand cuts out and misses when its low on petrol, think is shit in the carb, is slow and handles like a boat.

Sell both of them to two young baseball cap wearing louts, buy an old land rover or mini, cos their pretty much indestructable and easy to play with,

know how you feel buddy - driving round in a 1.4 lx escort at the mo which has just enough power to peel a banana :( That too has carb problems, choke stays on longer than it should and cuts out after a long run once its hot.

Think of it this way mate - to appreciate true beauty, you need to first understand its opposite ;)

Arry, mines the same, go for a run and when you stop it just slutters and dies, when you restart and give it a rev its fine :confused:
