Anyone else interested in this? Combe's trackdays are normally sessioned and not particularly well organised, this one is open pit and run by Motorsport Events; I've just done one of their airfield days and found the standard of marshalling and driving to be first class :)

You say you're deffinatly in if I go then?
Which car? :wack:

I'll have to finalise the Carb setup in the 7 if I do go as there's no way I can take chances there - I'll probably be at full throttle for at least a minute each lap, and i'm hoping to be running low 1:20's :wack:

Can't say I find there normal trackdays poorly organised though?

I reckon - I'll be in the S13, obviously :wack:

I wouldn't say their normal trackdays were 'poorly' organised, but I do know I've seen much better (at just about everywhere else I've been :smash: )

Yep, saw this and have been scratching my head since..

Bit expensive isn't it? I'm trying to arrange something with them at the moment for next year and I reckoned it was going to work out a bit cheaper than that.

I really do want to do it? It's been more than a month since I last went round and I'm starting to get the shakes again!! How many will be on track at a time?

My problem is my lodger moved out today so, income is now down.

Must build engine faster, must build engine faster.

I am interested but depends on the re-build. This would be good shake down time for the car and me!!!

It's open pit and a hundred quid cheaper than the likes of Brands, Donny ect
For some reason trackdays are a lot this year :(
It's only 30-40 quid more than a normal sessioned day at coombe to put it in perspective :)

Open pit, fair enough.

Is there a Shell nearby?:wack:

I would be more interested in do a couple of 20 minute slots and don't feel I would be up for taking full advantage of the unlimited session.

Just out of interest how many on a track at a time?

Haven't decided yes or no yet, but it is a bit more significant then the short slots I have had at the Action days in the past.

A lot less than on the action days, that's for sure :smash:

The great thing about an open pit day is you can do as much or as little as you want, a general rule of thumb is that you do 10-15 mins and then come in, have a break and then go back out again, as such normally only half (if that) of all the cars there are out at once... I'd be surprised if you saw more than 20 out at any one time, in fact I'd be surprised if you saw 20 really.

...Especially in the afternoons, when it tends to quieten down a lot...

I'd quite like to do this but not sure I can spare the holiday :(
Gonna have to take a day of to do my HGV Theory in the next month or so* and will be having to take at least a week off unpayed when I do the test....

Given I only have 2 ligitimate days holiday left I'm a bit un-keen to take the piss too much :ghey:

If I can swing it I'm in though

*Random career change ahoy!! :wack:
