I was thinking about it - not sure yet.

You need to get tickets in advance right? which would mean i need to decide soon!

Don't think so - http://www.goodwood.co.uk/site/content/festivalofspeed/Faqs.aspx

Can I buy a ticket on the day?
Tickets sales are made in advance only. It is not possible to buy a ticket when you arrive at the Festival, and there will be no admission without a ticket. For more information please telephone +44 (0)1243 755055 or Click here to email us.

You can buy them online and pick them up on the gate. Which now means I can go - if I can get past being so tight I'm not prepared to pop £50 for one :wack:

Is that how much they are? Don't think i'll be going then - have plans for the weekend already - don't think GF will be too happy if I cancel and ask her to pay £50 as well:wack:

You can pay online and print off a bit of paper then take that down there with you. Thats what I've done.

I'll be there on sunday.

I just hope the weather is a little better than it was last year. :(

I was there yesterday and going tomorrow. Was free for me but the entry fee is well worth it, would really recommend it. Grandstand isn't worth it as there are free stands just by the start line or just take a folding chair with you and you can sit closer than the stands are anyway.

Where else can you see a JPS Lotus and a Silkcut Jaguar being ragged up a hill on the same day:thumbs:

Does anyone know what time the gates open tomorrow?

Think its 8. I always try and get over to the paddocks 1st thing before the crowds get there, the mechanics/owners are usually by the cars and much more likely to have a chat and let you have a poke around when its quiet.

Quote take from the FAQ on the Goodwood FOS site

When should I arrive?

The action starts at 08:45hrs on all three days, so it’s best to arrive early to avoid any traffic delays. Gates open at 07:00hrs each day and this is a good time to have a look round the paddocks before the action begins on the track.

I went on Friday and it was very good as usual. Saw Pedro de la Rosa signing autographs in the McLaren pit, saw Dougie Lampkin doing amazing stuff on his trials bike :notworthy:notworthy:notworthy check out the youtube vid of him riding through Goodwood house

An essential day out for all petrol heads :)

I even managed to get sunburnt....

Im going to start another thread with some pics, but my highlights were mainly:

Seeing the Fezza 250 California :smitten:
Meeting Antonio Garcia and chatting to him for 1/2 hr (he won Le Mans in the 009 Aston this year). Ledge. :notworthy
Drinking 12 (count em!) bottles of Veuve and paying for none of them
Meeting the guy who runs a 350Z in GT4 class and trying to find out how he gets 480hp from an N/A, 3.5 litre VQ engine
Spending 20 odd minutes trying to get a test drive of a GTR from the head of European Sales for Nissan. I failed but I got a few glasses of champers out of them.

I was there on Friday. I've been going to this for years now, but this was the first I took my daughter to. Apparantly every car is now called Roary :D

Saw John Cleland smack his old Chavalier into the bales, don't know what happened, just looked like he understeered off. Looked a bit of a mess.

The dragster 'cacklefest' was awesome - 10 dragsters sparked up at once, it made the ground shake.

I managed to change an A1GP wheel in 10.5 seconds which was nice. Threaded one of their lovely wheel nuts though :smash::wack:

Here's a couple of snaps. I normally take a lot more, but we weren't there for that long really.
