Apparently under the Geneva Convention, once they prove he is a british citizen, they have to fly him home and let him go. He'll be free to live off the state again :rolleyes:

Also under the Geneva convention, the soldiers have to give him the opertunity to escape....which "could" translate like this....

Err, you'll probably find he already has....

This country needs to make examples of these poeple, they wont learn....if one of a family fights against his own country then it is treason, 1) he should be shot/deported from the UK AND his family should be deported too, ta make these poeple think twice.....

TBH I really don't care. He was born out there, his relatives are from Iraq. At least he is (was) standing up for his beliefs.

And if the benefits are going, then if he's a Brit citizen then why shouldn't he claim them? Seem better than being shot...

Besides, you can't trust the media anyway, so this is probably agitprop

If he want to go fight for another country fine.
But if that country is fighting against "his own" then it is treason.

Kinda sounds like the Americans that went to Iraq to be human shields for Saddum (purposely spelled Sa dum). Treat them like any other shield and shoot through them.

I say leave him there and make him fight for the Brits, see how the treasonous bastard likes that.

the boys who took him when he gave up must be so controlled, I think if he had have done that in front of most people he would not be alive, you wouldn't be able to control yourself, you'd just lay into him, you shot him because he was trying to escape, whos going to say anything different.

That must be treason though, surely, although i suppose we'd have to put him up because it would cause too much stress to him and his family if we sent him back to iraq:rolleyes:
