Seeing as everyone except me has been at Oulton Park for one reason or another recently, I'm off there to watch the Touring Cars and support races on the 27th.

I've never been before, so where is a good spot to get a good view ?

Stand in the middle of The Avenue, should get a great view there, albeit a little dangerous though, the cars would have to treat you as a roundabout!!

On a more useful note...

Walk clockwise from the pit lane/paddock area, and there is a large tree just after the first bend. Worth standing here for the first corner of the first lap, lots of action.

Then continue to walk clockwise down the inside line of the track, after a few mins you will cross a small dirt track that the recovery wehicles use for access, and there is a small grass banked area here, as it starts to climb again. Sit at the top of this, so you are almost next to the fence of the disabled viewing area, and you can see a huge amount of track and corners from here.

If you want to see more later, you can walk a little further round, and you come to a bridge, cross this and there is a great viewing point from the other side of it, Clay Hill, it's obvious.

Oulton is a great track as you can see lots of different places by taking a short walk round the inside of the main body of the track.

I would expect we might have a good NW outing again like we have just done for Time Attack.
