I knew about that bit matey, just noting in particular there will be a new GTR there, and would be interested to know what the people racing against it made of it :)

Probably not... but even not liking it, you have to be pretty curious about how it's going to stack up!

You guys aren't having much luck!

You need somebody with time on their hands to go drive your car around and put miles on it... then you can run proper boost :)

I'd be really interested to know what you make of the GTR though :) Will the V8 skyline be running? That would be an interesting comparison! Isn't there an F430 in the pro series too?

Cant wait to see how it turns out!

Not really, its all computer controlled rubbish I acctually couldn't care less how quick it is as its all to easy to drive. After watching the Touge video against the RX7 I cant help but think that it wouldn't challenge you as a driver in the slightest

Evilchap

I am not so sure. Yes it has lots of computers, and it's complicated...

But at the speeds it can do, with the levels of grip and the power, if you're not alert and on the ball, and getting stuck into the car and in tune with it, you'll have a really big crash really early on.

I am sure it will be plenty engaging to drive on the edge, just in a different way to an SX... and that edge will be at a scary speed round a tight corner :wack:

Think it is still out of the country.

it was there, and running. one of RC developments car.

Not sure on times, but it was easily holding it's own in the class.

Olly Clark was first in the pro with a 1.25.8 and Zen performance were second with a 1.27.2

Timings are up ...

R35 GTR finished in 14TH place in CLUB CLASS!!!

edit : just found out that the GTR was running on T1R tyres, not the R888's that everyone else was using.

Tyres must be worth a good few seconds.

It was still 6 seconds away from 1st place though and it had Clive Sneddon driving it himself

Given the GTR is standard, and the other cars are far from standard, it's not a bad showing. Though I suppose it's a little disappointing.

How much does the GTR weigh compared to the rest of the cars that were driving? Oh and was it wet?

Just out of curiosity how much do you have to throw at a top class time attack car? More or less than a new GTR?

If its less than a new GTR the you can forget about the fact its standard as for the cash you might aswell buy and evo and chuck 30K at it

It was dry the majority of the time

The difference from 1st to the GTR is just under 5.1s, on a heavy car like that I'd say R888s would account for that reasonably easily over 2 1/4 miles.

Its a good time considering the cars behind it, it was doing very well especially considering it looked like it had grip problems with those tyres ;)

Quicker than a modified GT3RS with a good driver too..........

In Proclass about £100K
In Club Class about £5K - £40K + the base car.

Just spotted on the GTROC board... the GTR had to have Toyo tyres to compete, and all they could get were:

245/30/20 for the Front, 285/30/20 for the rear

which wasn't ideal for the 4x4 GTR. Maybe it will have more to offer next time?

I was out at the same time as the GTR and was very impressed to say the least. It was quicker than me in a straight line which i was suprised at:nod:

It does have 473bhp AT THE WHEELS though!

There where two there, the silver one on track and a white one.

I thought they looked sh1t TBH.

In real life there are almost MPV size, it's just on oversized playstation car.

I do believe Scottie is talking about the actual figures GTR's have got on RR's in the UK, stock :)

Yep, cheers Ste, good link.

I've seen a few graphs around of totally standard GTR's, and I've never seen one make less than 550bhp flywheel figure!! :)
