I'm interested in eating more healthy food than I currently do. I understand the obvious stuff like chips etc are bad - but what stuff is actually ok? What stuff should I be looking for in the ingredients to stuff - obviously less fat, but what about carbohydrates etc??

I'm not a huge meat or fruit lover, but will eat any veg and most other things like rice and pasta.

What you're after is a healthy, balanced, diet. (http://www.homehealth-uk.com/medical/healthybalanceddiet.htm)

Hope this helps.

Mike.

easier to read than it is to do ;)

I've been trying to "go on a diet" for a while now, and keep thinking "must get round to it" Problem is, when you start to realise whats actually good for you and how much of the stuff you eat already is bad - it makes you a touch dispondent :( drives you to alcohol and then you have another problem in its entirety ;) :D

hehe. I wouldn't have said I'm vastly unhealthly - my fav food is rice and pasta - are these good for you? (Having just eaten a hooge pasta bake for my tea :D)

Pasta can make you fat if you don't expend the energy.
At the end of the day, if you get some exercise, you can balance almost anything out - I know I did when I trained down the gym.

Generally, fresh is good. Proteins are under-rated. Alcohol is bad - that's why its so good ;)

I don't feel like exercise now - I'm quite comfy where I am. :(
