Just thought I'd say a bit of a hello before I start going and changing everything in the forum and doing stuff people don't want me to! :wack:

So I'm Chris, currently driving an S13 with mostly power mods and weight reductions.

I don't know if all of you know about the changes to the SXOC's area structure, I'm assuming that the member's will have seen the relevant post in the members section and if you're not a member, well :whip: ;)
So I figure, the main meets we have at present are the Ipswich meet (which appears to be the big one!) and the Norwich meet (though this seems to be a little on/off). We have had a fenland meet a few times, but it's not really a regular thing...

So, what I'm looking for from you guys, is a little help and advice with regard to what kind of meets and events you want to see taking place over the next 6 months/year. i will look into the feasibility and do my best to get them sorted for you, though we have to ensure we get the number along, so a little travel and team work with other areas may be involved!

I look forward to hearing from you all! :)

Suggestions you say? How about including Cambridge in the East Anglia section please :D . I'm really not sure I want to be associated with the riff-raff that are the Stevenburg massive :indiff: ;)

And how's the wheel? Or is it best not to ask?

By the way, my name's Cluck. I've been an SXOC Addict for nearly 6 years now. With your help, I hope to be an addict for another 6 years

I heard about that Stevenburg lot... :ghey:

I've not looked at the car yet, I figure I'm going to put it off until the weekend so atleast I can go out and get hideously drunk after I find out I've bent something! :wack::rolleyes: Fingers crossed I'll be able to get away with alignment and maybe a new tyre, though if I've doen something more serious it's just an excuse for an upgrade...

Pantera Chris - I was going to have a word with you at some point anyway, mostly because I've seen your name around alot on the boards since you joined and you seem to be eager to get the Norwich stuff going, obviously a little help (since I've been to Norwich all of twice!) on this front wouldn't go a miss!

The arse of England :( The main problem is that we are at least an hour away from any of the big meets. There are a few of us that wana meet up here (prob 6-7) but its just getting it all sorted so everyone can come. I think some of the other guys are trying to put something together. To be honest im a bit busy at the moment with buying a house - so not much time or money for the motor, but will be done with that in the next few months then back to modding!! :)

That's cool mate! Aslong as there are a few people to attend a meet, then it's a meet! :) I'll drop you a pm in the next week or so with regards to the members who'd probably be up for coming, then I'll probably put a poll together and get everyone's opinion on workable dates...

As you say though, Norwich is a fair old drive for most people to get to (I think it's around about an hour for me...), however, I think a conversation with APT regarding an RR day may have to happen at some point! Fingers crossed that should attract some attention from others, result in a good day and maybe even bump the attendance up for the Norwich meets! :)

The last RR day at APT was excellent. Definately get one of those going again :)

By the way, The stickys on this forum need clearing out. The Anglia meets one refers to the old Norwich meets

I think we should look at the possibility of joining our meets up with the big power dudes at Snetterton. Perfect location, and a great crowd!

Only been to one of the BP meets but it was a good one and Snetterton is great :D

Just wish i was nearer so could go more often :(

Your main problem is numbers  IIRC there are only around 30 club members in the whole of Suffolk and Norfolk :( if you compare it to Essex & Kent which is similar size wise we have over 100 members

Indeed. Norwich has about 5-7 14a's and a few 13s, and a lot of them aren't on the forums. Thats why im saying we should crash the Big Power party. Maybe ill ask Morano and see what he says.

Chris, in all seriousness, joining the Norwich meet up with the meet for the big power guys is something I've been saying to people about for ages! If there's an existing big meet in the area (that not chav rude boi's having sound off's and practising there reverse donuts), we may aswell use that to our advantage if we can! :) - I'm pretty sure that the Ipswich meets aren't only 200's... Personally I'd say that a quarterly SXOC meet for the Norwich lot is acheivable, everyone will have plenty of notice to be able to organise themselves, and there's then the big power meets for a monthly get together!

I'm not signed up over on the big power forums, but I'll get my ass on there if I get a chance tonight :)

Get on it mate! You don't get any boy ricer / shit head types at all. They are all enthusiasts (inc the APT boys!) :D A good bunch.

Joining up with Big Power is the way to go  I don't avoid Norwich meets, just haven't a had a chance to get up to a meet. I tried hard for a while and sometimes it was a decent turn out, even George turned up once :D

I'm sure Stuart, Duncan and the lads would be more than happy to have a few SXOC members along. If not just sign up on Big Power and get in that way LOL :D

Hello Stuffing

I agree actually - Bigpower might be the way forward for the Norwichish folks - I keep meaning to get to one but never get round to it.

We used to have a good meet in Cambridge as well, but lack of interest/location has meant its died off a bit recently - might be worth seeing what we can do on that one as well (maybe use the Bigpower one instead?) :)

Doc - I thought Cambridge was home counties terriotory these days?
All the same, from what I hear the Cambridge meet has been going well over the last couple of months... The only reason I didn't make it to the last one was due to a slightly wheel/curb incident :(

Drifter - I've joined up on big power recently and got my confirmation e-mail thingy a few days ago, so I'll be over there posting soon! :wack: I'll have to read up on there meets a bit!

Any of you local S14 owners want an Autometer twin 52mm pillar pod? Straight swap for my trim and the pod for your standard trim with no holes in it :)

Should have some guages up for grabs soon as well :)

I'm not sure if Fordy (rep for the home counties) has a pillar pod in his '14a yet, but could be worthwhile giving him a shout... He doesn't live too far away from me so if he's interested we could get something sorted for a swap!
