can't you just use one of those adapters which you plug into the ciggie and you can then plug ur ... plug thingy in ( obvoiusly with engine running)

so you have a box that plugs in to ciggie hole then on that box is the 3 pin plug socket where u can plug a fridge or microwave in

you are talking about an upper transformer
steps 12Vdc to 240V ac
dont think your going to find one to run a 800w microwave
for less than £100
i may be able to get a generator for the weekend though!!!!

I think you can get a 'step up transformer' for about £30 from Maplins or somewhere like that.

i recon someone should design a LIGHWEIGHT microwave that replaces the glove box!!! and in the passengers foot well a mini fridge obviously LIGHWEIGHT

I have one, it will run a small microwave or TV, it is ment for running a PC and a montior from a car - dont ask but some poeple do it - I work for a company called Novatech www.novatech.co.uk and we sell all sorts of trick gizmos as well as PCs and peripherals
