Please, please, please, can we have no more of this Gulf War rubbish. If necessary can we have a total ban on War posts?
Or we could just ban Imran Tunio if you prefer - he's the only one that doesn't seem to be able to have a sensible and mature discussion on the subject.
I don't think they should ban him, but I think they should stop the IRAQ posts and also force Imran to change his sig to something appropriate..... (it's very distasteful) :mad:

Sorry can't agree with banning this cause its an open forum for discussion of peoples views.
Much as I can't agree with what Imran is posting, it is his (distorted) point of view and at least some of us are trying to educate him;)
If you don't like it then ignore it.
Ok, if a thread turns into a slagging match then it deserves to be closed but while there is active and meaningful debate then it is worth keeping open.
I certainly do not think Imran should be banned. He's entitled to his views but this is a Forum for people with a passion for cars, not to express extremist political views, hence my suggestion that we avoid posts about the war any more, that way everyone's happy, whatever they believe.
Yes, but it is in the "Non 200sx related chat" area :D

Yep, I think these posts should end too.
At the risk of being unpopular, i have to agree with grahamb, people should be allowd to talk about what ever they like (with in reason obviously, if it becomes offencive or illegal then by all means stop it.......but people expressing their opinions is called freedom of speech, one of those things we are currently at war to protect i belive.
You may not agree with everyone all the time, and if you dont, ignore it and look at another post.
I agree that imrans sig is a little off.
i imagine we are all adults on this board, (over 17 atleast :) ) so lets behave like adults and have discussions, not slagging match's. There seems to be a bit of hostility running around the board of late.
Oh and on another matter.

Thats basicly what I think. The war is going to be on people minds so I dont see why we cant disscus it as long as it dosnt got out of hand. I dont read any of the ICE posts cos im not interested in them so just avoid the war ones.
We all have differing voices on here how ever quite or vocal we are.
Maybe we should have a war section :p :D

Freedom of Speech, no matter how misguided the views, is a cornerstone of our society, and should remain on the board.
But if it becomes offensive and misses the point, it should be closed for the sake of brevity.
I agree, keep him and the posts here. It makes for interesting reading.

I think too that topic shouldn't be banned.
The occuring war is something really important for the entire world, and none of us seem to know or believe in the same things.
Of course, it isn't a 200 topic, and that's why we have a "non 200sx related chat", don't we?
That board is really one of the best board (if not the best) I've ever suscribed to.
Not only for the quality of its technical approach, but also for the people giving life to it.
I've always loved the freedom of speech on the forum, and the intelligence of many of its members.
Keep it alive, after all, it's always good to confront different points of views, or even ideologies. I've learned to like the way you, sxoc members brits, think and can be "open" on many subjects.
(and your legendary sense of humor, of course ;) )
Even if I faced some "anti-French" unuseful remarks, most of you are constructive in your answers or questions, and after all, who cares if you burnt Jeanne d'Arc :D

I don't think banning the subject of war is the way to go about things. I for one have started threads, the last one was because I found Imran's erponses and sig to be offensive.
Mods, in future if your going to close a thread can we have the last post on it explaining why its been closed rather than just closing it and the rest of us just left guessing???
