I have to go the the Dentist this afternoon for a filling. Nothing major, nothing that will hurt. I've never had a bad experience with a dentist either.

So why am I so worried at the propect of going?

Because...

He might say it has to come out and in the process snap a root off which means that he'll have to get the scalpel and bone chisel out and dig it out.

You'll leave (after paying £100 for te privilege) with a sore jaw, a big hole and stitches in you gum.

Well that happened to me once, was traumatic.

That's a nice story Jezz. ;)

I'm actually not afraid of the dentist. Never have been. I'm scared of going to the doctors. :(

I've just been to the dentist for the first time in 15 years:(

Had horrible abcess on one tooth and needed a root canal done:(

Dentist was a total genius:D Felt nothing and he even showed me what he was doing it was great:D

Faith restored.....

Still got to go back for 11 fillings though:( Bugger:(:(:(:(:(

I would rather go to the dentists or the doctors than go to a hairdresser  I have always hated having my hair cut :( That's not right is it.

I managed to avoid going to the dentists for 11 years. Finally gave in when i had a wisdom tooth coming in squint and it crushed it's way though the tooth in front of it. The dentist was a fit young lass and she removed the 2 teeth without causing me any pain at all.

Still terrified of dentists though. Hopefully i can go another 11 years without having to visit one. I'd rather break a few more bones than have to sit in that dentists chair.

So are you attributing that haircut to a post-traumatic event then ?

Last time I went to the dentist, I ended up with a blood infection which destroyed my Aeortic heart valve and I had to have open heart surgery and a mechanical valve fitted, only just got back to work a few weeks ago after 6 months off sick, dont want to worry you though:)
