Why does my M8 keep slaging my car off ?????
It's beggining to pi$$ me off now. He "Doesn't drive himself" but his Mrs drives a new Zafera (Or however it's spelled ;) ). Last time he was in mine he asked if I was "Doing this for his benefit" Spose I was keeping the speed down a bit, :D and every time we have a beer he tells me what a dinosaur it is, how he'd rather have a mini (REALLY), and that it's so "yesterday" :( .. What the fCuK is this guy on ??? OK, Its getting on a bit now but it will still destroy nearly all the cars on the road ( With me in it ;) :D ) and I personally don't think that the S13 looks dated. Look at Haleys, Vega's and some of the other sorted ones... Is it just me or am I right??? Answers on a postcard plz.:p Grr.

In all seriousness tho, he should respect your choice. And if he don't like it, tell him to get a bus

I bought a van recently and he told me that he'll give it a week before I sell me SX for the pleasures of driving a van.... And he's serious.......... I should have put money on it.:D

How can you take the opinion of someone who wants a Mini seriously?

Don't think he wants a mini.. Just prefers one to my car :( :(

That's still no reason to trust his judgement on anything :)

If he doesn't drive then obviously all his opinions on cars are formed on the basis of image, and we all know a good looking car is not necessarily a good car, and there are some very good cars that look like a monkeys breakfast (Imprezza for instance)

I usually find that people like the car, ask what it is, the say "oh it's a Nissan".

My nephew was looking for his first car a few months ago. I suggested a few, Micra, etc and apparently he would not have a Nissan. He bought a Fiesta.

Spose the bits are cheaper;) . I get the same about "Nissan" so just call it an SX (Essex) turbo, works wonders with the un-educated.;) :D :D ...Usually.

I had a bloke like this yesterday in the pub...
He works at the same place as me.
He asked me what phone I have... (Nokia 7650) on the front of the screen is a pic of me Starion... Now the phone was just sitting on the table coz I never have sound on (not allowed to have it on at work... so keep it on silent;) ) then he just goes off on one saying that I shouldnt be showing off my car... Im acting like a child.... WTF:mad:
So I said to him what car do you drive mate and he said
Pugeot 405 Diesel.  :D I then asked how much he paid for it £1200..... he them asked how much I paid for mine..... LOL I said Nothing I got it for free.....:D :D :D :p :D
He then didnt speak to me for the rest of the nite....LOL:D :D :D :D

But people like that really piss me off... u know what I mean?

Phil,

I'd suggest taking your mate out in your dated, getting on a bit, datsun and scare him completely sh**less. Plenty of sideways antics then find a dual carriageway and get the needle off the clock. Pull over onto the hard shoulder (preferably about 20 miles from home) and tell him he can either walk home or get back in your dated datsun.

It might not stop him slagging your car but at least you'll have some fun doin it :D

I find this at work, people generally take the piss out of my car. It almost seems to be a bit too politically incorrect to tune and modify cars nowadays. We probably have the BBC wearing twats in their scrabblers to blame for that. People tend to forget that enthusiasts have been improving standard cars ever since cars were invented.

People at work say to me "Why do you bother spending money on a Nissan when you could buy an Audi TT"
I just don't understand why people pay good money for things like peoplecarriers when they only have 1 child or 'trendy but nothing special' Audi TT's, BMW Minis (it'll never be a proper one to me), any BMW or Mercedes.

I've taken a couple of colleagues out in my car. Two completely different reactions. One guy completely shat himself when it started to come on boost and started gibbering and asked me not to do it again, the other guy loved it and hasn't stopped talking about it ;)

Yep... I have that... My sister hates it when I go past 3500rpm in the car... she gets scared?????? ;) But when I took out my other sister.... she loved it:D

Who cares what these idiots think? Owning a 200sx is hardly akin to being a kiddy-fiddler, is it? F*ck 'em - other people have interests in things I'm not into, but I don't feel the need to denigrate those interests.

One for all n that. Innit :)

if i had a pound for the amount of times ive heard "for the money uve spent on that car u could have bought a new one, or bought a decent one"
Im sooooo tired with trying to explain to people, that i tend to just slag them back for sommat theyve bought,
ie. "y did u pay £100 for a pair of jeans u could have bought a decent dump valve with that!"

I used to try and explain that this car will take on 90 odd % off the cars on the road, its individual, its mine, no-one knows wat it is.

But wat it comes down to is if i was to buy a new car id spend the same money again getting the new car to a look, power level and gubbins level :D that pleases me.
This *usually* shuts them up.

Hayley, i get that also, but i love it, "yeah its a Nissan!, nice innit? Turned ur head anyway, and its fookin rapid too:D"
*whispers* "when it goes" :( :D
