Just watched Ringu and The Ring in one sitting...

...on DVD with a mate 'cos we wanted to see what all the fuss was about and after reading previous posts on it. I preferred the Jap original and my mate preferred the remake (the fool). I don't mind admitting it's very strange and the first film to actually scare me for a long long time. Almost puts me off watching the telly! :D

I did this too. Went to cinema to see Ring then watched Ringu with my mates the next night.

I thought the remake was scarier than the original. It takes a lot for a film to bother me, THIS BOTHERED ME!!! I havent have a chill down my spine for ages!!!

The Hollywood version is much more tense and dramatic. Whereas the Japanese version is fast and in your face.

And I still can't sit near a tv!!

Aaaaahhhhh! Just noticed there are FOUR Japanese Ring movies: Ringu (The Ring), The Spiral (Rasen), Ring 2 and Ring 0. More spooky telly off-puttingness :D :D :D
