Who is your favourite James Bond?

For me its close between Connery and Brosnan, but I think Connery edges it.

I know Sean Connery lovers will snipe at me for this, saying the original's always best, but he was just too... well... Scottish to be playing a quintessentially English secret agent (no offence intended) :)

Pierce Brosnan seems to carry it off the best

I agree with you Pete, however I think George Lazenby does the business for me (I know hes Australian) as hes the closest to the English agent. (Connery?, too Scottish, Moore?, too Cheesy, Dalton?, too crap, Brosnan?, mmm getting there but somehow missing something)

After a moment of pondering between Connery and Brosnan I think Brosnan edges it by a bow tie

I chose Connery purely because he's just "THE MAN!!!"

Brosnan does have the slime of mr secret agent, but he just pisses me off too much! lol

Lazenby - most true to the book, just played a very honest bond . (His english accent was dubbed by the way, by the real sir hilary bray)

I grew up with Moore too, but how can you say he's the best? I'm got one word for you - Moonraker! ;)

Agree with Simon on that. Moonraker was one of my favourites, along with View to a Kill. :D

Roger Moore has such an expressive face. Most of the time he doesn't need to say anything. He's great, and he is sooo English. :)

And Brosnan isn't too... well... Irish.

For me, the best Bond is well, depends on the film. I actually liked Dalton in the films he was in, Brosnan - I had him figured as a future Bond years ago.

The best film IMHO was On Her Majesty's Secret Service. Not saying Lazenby was the best.

Oh and you forgot Peter Sellers et al in Casino Royale :D

Got to be Connery, the later bonds are too wimpish, and Roger Moores acting was a bit wooden to say the least
