Does anyone know where I can get a Windows 2000 patch for Day of the Tentacle and Sam n Max. I really wanna play these again - I have the originals but they just don't work. :(

Also, does anyone know where I can buy The Dig? (it came up a while ago but I've decided I really want the game now - its class!!). While I'm at it, what about Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis?

LucasArts are gaming gods - DOTT and Sam n Max are comedy genius pieces of work. I've got the Monkey Island series and they're all class too!! :D

What's the problem you are having getting them to work?

Were these DOS games? If so a nicely constructed boot disk could sort you out :)

I couldn't get Sam n Max work with Win 98 either - it doesn't like my soundcard (an antique ISA SoundBlaster AWE64!!!!)

Forgot about the good old Boot Disks!! Will give that a wiz. :)

Never played Leisure Suit Larry - I had an Amiga when they did the rounds. :( Monkey Island and Indie Fate of Atlantis came on 11 disks!! Bearing in mind the Amiga had no HD, there was alot of disk swapping!!

Christ I remember playing all of those games above and completing every1 of them:p :D

I had the Atari STE1040... The secret of Monkey Island was on 4 disks.... same as Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.

I kinda miss those days:(

SCUMM .. and what does that stand for? :)

Dave, the Awe32 drivers I believe may work for you (if you continue with the dos boot disk and I think you should purely for the hell of it :) )
Only take up about 40k of conventional memory if I recall correctly. Don't forget your SET BLASTER line

Did anyone else's comp config.sys have "LH" at the beginning or "DeviceHigh" in an attempt to gain that illusive base memory! :D

Oh man this is really sad but ...

THOSE WERE THE DAYS :D :D :D

Half the fun of a new game was managing to get 590kb+ of free conventional memory whilst still have the mouse and soundcard / CD-ROM drivers loaded ..

I can still remember bits :D

Andy:

SCUMM is something like Script Creation Utility something something!! lol

Doom! Yeh - I had a 486DX4 120 which ran it superb full screen, unlike my 386 owning mate who had to run it in a 2inch by 2inch screen. hehe.
