View Full Version : *** New H-Dev exhaust manifold now available *** - back in stock!!
After experiencing a few problems with some SR exhaust manifolds we decided to develop our own.
Key features are:
Short runners with minimal curves to aid gas flow
Runners from cylinders 1+4 and 2+3 are separated as much as possible with a divider in the turbo flange - this helps minimise any valve bounce problems at high boost and rpm, it also reduces turbo spool compared to some other manifolds. Works in a similar way to twin scroll turbos.
Made from thick wall stainless steel to help minimise cracking
Skimmed head and turbo flanges - carried out in the final stages of manufacture
Here are some pics:

We've done quite a bit of testing with these manifolds
The graph below shows an SR that was running another type of manifold and suffering from valve bounce problems. This was then swapped to one of our new manifolds - nothing else was changed.

The red lines show power and torque with another manifold - you can clearly see that the power drops right off at high rpm.
The blue line shows the power with the H-Dev manifold (with no other changes!) - 2 things are clear: less lag and more power all through the revs.

Dont suppose you have a top mount manifold with wastegate flange for sale?
So good to see you stepping up to the plate amongst all the chinese scrap metal out there. One thing we don't seem to have grasped over here though is the quality of branding that the japs seem to have for their parts. If you can do that as well it would be fantastic :) The more I buy cheap parts the more I wish I bought the decent ones instead.
Get that thing coated in ceramic as an option :) (Would that do anything on an exhaust?)
Any chance of developing a CA version if this one goes down well? Is the market not good enough for that?
I'd definately be up for a CA version if it was ever developed. Infact I pm'ed you before about it :)
an elbow to match would be even better to counteract the ground clearance problems.
It does smooth out power delivery nicely though.

Bump for looking answer to a topmount manifold.

No, sorry.

I fitted on of these, already had a turbo back exhaust but changing the manifold completely changed the noise of it. Sounds mighty now!
HI! I am interesting in this manifold. As I understand blue lines on dyno graf produce engine with Your manifold. What is THE RED lines manifold? stock or any like xs power? What kind of mods test car had? Have ecu been retuned after manifold change?
sine this has already been bumped I'll add another shout from the CA guys for a manifold as well made as this.
is there any chance of a CA one being made??

The red lines are the engine with a different manifold that contributed to valve float. We made no other changes, apart from swapping the manifold.
The car had:
Z32 AFM
555 Nismo injectors
Custom map
GT2871R
FMIC
Exhaust
Filter
Pump
Boost controller

No, probably not I'm afraid.
ok i wanted just to confirm replaced manifold was SS aftermarket made, not stock, right?

your a bad bad man:rolleyes:
Hi Jez,
I have herd that fitting this mani moves the turbo about 25mm-30mm lover in the engine bay, which i guess will drop the frontpipe and exhaust lower down too?
My car (14a) runs pretty low and i all ready get problems with the exhaust hitting the floor on speed bumps.
Can you suggest the best elbow and frontpipe combo for a 14a to get maximum ground clearance with the H/Dev mani?
Currently running on standard elbow and apex frontpipe, I would like to change the elbow to a stainless s14 one which i guess would flow better than the tighter 14a stainless version - obvioulsy i would then need to change my front pipe to match the elbow. Any ideas on the subject?
Or do i need to get the hacksaw and the welder into play on the current frontpipe after i fit the elbow and see what i can custome fab myself?
Thanks,
Rich
We've got these back in stock now and have done a test fitment. Here are the before and after pics - they are a direct fit :)
Before, with standard manifold and standard elbow (excuse the half removed manifold - nearly forgot to get the pics ) :

Do you offer ceramic coating for the manifold too ?
And did you ever have one cracking ?
Regards,
Clemens
PS:
You didn't reply to the Mail I sent you through the contact form on the hp :D
Sorry you didn't get a reply - I don't think I ever got your email
We can get them ceramic coated, no probs - it costs £149
We've had very very few problems with cracking :)
Do you ship to germany ??
Shipping price ??
Hi jez i'm interested i the exhaust manifold and a HID kit for the S14A. Do you supply the gaskets with this kit ?
I'm afraid we're out of manifolds at the moment - we'll have some back in stock soon and we'll be doing a group buy.
We have the s14a hid kits in stock :)

How soon is soon for the manifolds? I'm looking to buy in january?
when are u thinking of doing the group buy for the maifolds
also do u do injector cleaning n flow testing

Hello mate, I see you say you will be offering a group buy on the manifolds when they are back in stock, are these manifolds good for the s15 too??
hi jez any news on the group buy for the manifolds
as want to get one for stage 2 chip i am getting off u
oooo nice will be waiting on the Group buy for this :D!
Numbers will be an issue with these i reckon, too many folk wanting one :D
We've got 2 batches coming. A few in a month or so (hopefully by the end of Jan) and then the main batch coming later on (hopefully mid March).
The first few will be at the normal price and I'll run a GB for the main batch. All of this is tentative at the moment as I've not got any firm dates yet.
