View Full Version : Where's a good place for...
Getting a personalised number plate?
I'm specifically interested in the old style - ie something TMP 235F as opposed to D1 MKM
Any ideas?

I'd get a copy of Autotrader and have a look in the back, loads of them about. I think most places also offer to search for your desired plate, not that easy though if you don't have something specific in mind.
I'm hunting the net at the moment and am getting really peeved.
Different places offer different plates.
For instance, some have NO CDM plates. Others have pages and pages of them
cdm with a suffix would be good. as would med 1a and D1 mnd
DVLA - the agents will buy from the DVLA and add their profit.
If its available at an agent, then it will almost always be available at the DVLA
Example:
Considering C3 DTM for the merc, in reference to its homologation roots.
DVLA - £399 inc VAT & transfer
Agent - £499 plus VAT & transfer
do websearch for DVLA
they have a search engine on the website - piece of piss.
