My old boy's just bought a Rover Viteese (spew), he's had a few of these and is constantly making performance boasts. The one he's just bought (Rover 800 2.0L 16v Turbo L plate) for £700 he claims has Myheer (sp?) pistons fitted as standard. He says that rover only did this for a couple of years.

"You can increase the power to 280bhp using just a bleed valve and a chip without any risk of blowing up the engine" he says

To be fair, he's not entirely to blame as he has more than likely picked up this bullshit from "experts" on the net. Who makes up this crap and has other people believing it?????

*Rant over*

If they were that easy to mod then every Nova boy would be saving their pennies so they could buy into the technical wizardry and styling genuis that is the Rover 800

Anyway, when was the last time you saw a Rover 800 beat a 200sx.... or anything for that matter :D (police 827i's don't count) :D

LOL, thats what I did. I said "On you go then", and he at least had the decency to admit that 280bhp through a scrabble wagon is pretty useless. Personally I think the standard 200bhp is useless :p :p

He's had the 827 24v Vitesse's in the past and I still don't hear the end of that

All crap, end of story. I'm interested in wether the high spec standard piston bit is true though
