So this happened last week but I only just got round to doing the pics.
It was a well nice day so we decided to go out and get some pics of dan and his mate arseing about on their bikes. So i set off for the "location" which is well off the road etc.
About five minutes later I see the two bikes homing on on me so i pulled right to the left to allow them to come past. I was doing 80 and they came by me like I was stopped into a light left which flicks back into a right. They dissapear behind the scenery and just as I come round the right I just see a load of debry fly up from a ditch:eek:
I slam on the anchors and jump out to see my mate lying in a ditch with his head on a concrete bridge type thing

This is the road. We were heading towards the camera. You can see the skids and bits of Honda's finest on the road

This is the ditch he was in. He bounced off the hedge (note the hole) and smacked into the bidge with his right shoulder

This is the bad thing!!

Taken just after four people had pulled it out the ditch. You might be able to see the petrol pissing out of the tank. Also you can tell he's hurt cos he's smiling

The bike in the garage shortly afterwards

I took him to hospital as he was complaing that his thumb and shoulder were hurting. I smoked about twenty fags on the ten minute journey. Just before we left he said he was gonna take his padding out. So glad he didn't

Lucky guy got away with a broken collar bone and a bruised thumb.
Put me off buying a bike though.
Just be careful everyone

Sounds like someone was lucky!! Glad to hear it wasn't worse, so often you hear about people not being so lucky on bikes :( :(

Its the thought of what happens when you come off that has so far prevented me buying a bike.

Dunc.

Lucky lucky bloke, that concrete thing looked pretty nasty.

I broke my coller bone years ago on a bike, another bike pulled out on me and off I went  I didnt realise it was broken until I went to punch him and my shoulder clicked and my arm fell down:eek: so I swung at him with the other hand and he ran off.

Another quick tale because this is funny as feck, I had to spend the night in hospital because I'd lost so much blood and fluid through sweating when shock set in. next day when I woke up there was this muther of all big bastards in the bed oposite, hells angle type of guy. Hed had had to have 2 toes amputated when he got knocked of his bike, he was sat there looking realy pissed off. I got chatting to him and found out why. Turns out most of his biker mates had there tales to tell and scars to show but nothing had happend to him until now, whereby he had got knocked off his bike at 5mph in a car park by an old dear reversing out. he fell sideways and his bike crushed a couple of toe's which is why they had to be amputated. He was sat there running more macho scenarios by me as he didnt want his mates taking the piss out of him:rolleyes: he was quite put out that he had lost 2 toes at 5mph because of a granny reversing into him while all his mates had got off virtualy scott free from high speed slip ups:rolleyes:

Mmmm not very nice indeed:(

Broke my collar bone about 5 years ago when I highsided my Thunderace on a patch of diesel:( Got to hospital where the nurse offered to cut off my Dainese suit (£1000) fook off said I:eek: Managed to get it off myself with tonnes of screaming:eek: The fooking filth puts his head around the door and says:-

'Come off our bike have we Sir?'

If I'd still had the lid in my hand he'd have got it across the face...git:mad:

Nasty pic of helmet... but just goes to prove...

'Got a two bob head, get a two bob lid':D

I've got a £400 Arai and I'm taking no chances:D

Glad its nothing serious...

Such a shame, wasting an SP1:( Hope he gets well soon:D

My mates father was in the ICU (intensive care unit) and nearly died twice in a highly similar incident. That "bridge" is what we call a culvert. He ditched the bike and went into the culvert. He had to be Starflighted (our medical helo is called Star Flight) out of the area and spent a good 2 months in the hospitol. Your mate is lucky.
