Hi Jeziwa ;)

I'm currently running the standard ECU, but have an HD stage 1 ecu to put in. I'm wondering about the limits of your map and economy etc compared to the standard unit. Obviously it's designed for power so bear with me, I realise this, a few questions as it is my daily drive car:)

Q1) If I ran the stage 1 with unleaded on standard boost pressure would the map safely tolerate it?

Q2) Will it improve economy of the car if I run the stage 1 with Super unleaded at standard boost pressure?

Q3) It came with a SARD R2D2 DV, do you recommend I remove this for use with your ECU's?

[I do actually have an HD boost valve but not fitted as I'm checking the reliability of the car first as it is soon to be MOT'd.]

Heres some answers:
1) Maybe - I've not done any testing on 95 ron fuel. I think it'll be ok, but there is a bit more ign advance with the ECU upgrade.
2) It'll help. Most people see an increase in fuel econonmy with the stage 1 ECU upgrade. Driving style makes the biggest difference to fuel economy really.
3) We recommend an uprated re-circ DV kit: http://www.h-dev.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=78_80&products_id=139 Dump to atmosphere DVs will cause the car to overfuel during gear changes.

Hope that helps :)

Yes great help, thanks Jez :)

Do you still recommend the uprated re-circ kit for an S13 though as they don't have one as standard?
