right....myself and squirt (mostly squirt) are thinking about sorting out a curry night...probably in the chelt area...for curry(obviously) drinks and banter......

no dates confirmed....

but want to know who would be interested??!!

Has a venue been decided. The place in gloucester docks is nice. Vinings i think. Some fit birds were in there when i was there last too.

Id say Cheltenhams birds are better by far, its shocking some of the swamp donkeys ive encountered in glos...

Either way, maybe we should start thinking about a venue. Theres loads in Cheltenham i know of, im not familiar with Gloucester in that sense.

Feel free to throw in some suggestions.

In Cheltenham there are,

Curry corner in fairview
Everest in the town centre
Staddlestones in woodmancote (love it but on outskirts of town)
Loads on bath road (5 mins from town centre)

Ill post some more, ill do some investigation.

28th's cooooool, was in vinnings friday, glos docks otherwise known as the rusty shed, indian buffet type place..food was good, better than the last time i was in there and it was not particularly bad then...some decent pubs that end of town as well, fosters, cafe renne... wherever though

The parkings a twat around that area but a few roads down arent so busy. Ill be parking at my Grandads which is about 3 mins walk from it. Theres parking around that area which isnt normally that bad.

Curry Corners a really nice place to eat, so its worth a thought.

Yeah i think we've settled on Curry Corner, as its almost central in town.

Restoration is actually called Varsity now, its at the top end of town, just up from weatherspoons.

Right then boys!

Ive booked and spoken to the manager and provisionally booked for 10 as thats all they allow!! BUT!! if we dont have 10 people we'll get charged £10 so we need to know DEFINITE numbers tonight if possible so i can ring him back direct and confirm how many peeps are coming.

We also need to be there for about 6.45 (15 mins ordering) as the foods going to take about 60 mins to be prepared, if we wanted a later table we'll be eating at 10pm :wack:

BUT, he said we can have our own 'SXOC' area in the basement lounge after the meal for banter and continued drinks as a gesture should we want it.

Ive only just got hold of them this morning, ive had to leave 2 messages on the booking answerphone!!

Was alright, aye. Food was nice, good company as well so can't complain. I didn't mind so much about the price either as for an Indian restaurant it was really diverse as far as the menu went and the food was prepared to a good, high standard.
