SXOC Weekender [Archive] - SXOC Bulletin Board

The SXOC weekender at Prescott Hill is less than a month away - 14th/15th June. Full details are here (http://www.sxoc.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=351754) in the events section, but to summarise it's £20 for camping Friday and Saturday and fun and games over the weekend; with unlimited hillclimb runs on the Sunday for only another £30. There's a huge prize fund for the competitions and charity raffle.

This should be THE big SXOC weekend of the Summer. All members are welcome and the club is heavily subsidising the venue hire, as well as catering and some 'refreshments'.

Please stick your name down below if you're going and use this thread for chat about plans, convoy organisation etc.

If so what can we do to out do the other areas?

I nearly invited her to the weekender but after the abuse from Byebye I dont think I will let the rest of the club loose with her:p

I spent a good two hours with a foot pump blowing her up and I aint sharing:wack:

might be handy so may have that off you at some point, :nod: but byebye has a 6 man tent castle thing with 3 2 man compartments and carbon fibre poles lol. :):sxoc:

screw that, it'll take half the evening to put it up :wack:

my ones are nice and easy, all done in under 2mins normally, allowing for more drinking time (or easier to put up after drinking) :)

lst time took us 15 mins to put up whilst drinking lol. so all good, longer to put away i guess but i was spectating on that :o

As this is now only a couple of weeks away are we going to think about organising a convoy?

I have the Friday booked off work so would like to get down as early as possible, set up and start drinking :D.

Yay after taking byebye's advice i got friday booked off too.

So convoy is sounding like a bit of a plan. plus i think our (mine and byebye's) S13 may need some moral support for the journey. this will be its 1st real leg stretcher for the last 3 years!!!

Oh and we shall have lots of space for beers in the back (just dont be expecting them to be opened and not spray everywhere :wack:)

i found out yesterday that swinton have a modifed section now, wanted to give them a test run on prices.

most companies can do that now, seriously try those guys at swinton, i called them today and they seem ok, the guy chris i think knew what he was on about and they are determined to beat my price. will see what it comes in at, mention sxoc and they seem to want to help. :sxoc:

ok so the most direct route will be to go northampton via banbury and on to cheltnam, in which case its a meet at the towcester maccy'ds again FTW

although the rac route planner wants to take me via rugby and lemington spa:confused:

lol at RAC route planner, if i say from rushden to location it says 2hr 25mins, if i say rushden to location via towcester it comes down to 1hr 30 mins, like it takes me 55 mins to get to towcester. more like 25mins lol,

Sorry boys but putting head gasket on the wrong way is a complete fail! also after seeing bye bye's attempt at using a spanner anywhere on an engine bay certifies an easy win:D
