Now Racelogic TC is a phenomenal piece of kit but I managed to find it's limits today. Red light at a roundabout on an A road, floored it when green , turned the wheel, full throttle (slip set to 10% by the way) and realised the wheels where slipping way too much and the back end started to lose it and when into a rear end skid, corrected one way, then the other, then went into a horrendeous spin where I covered 540 degrees (round one and a half times) to be facing an Imprezza who had stopped (well everyone behind me had stopped) Managed to stay on the road and thankfully there were three lanes. Turned the car around to face the correct direction, pulled up at the next light and had the most evil stare from a guy in a Merc. I've been most impressed with the TC, but I think the changing camber of the road confused the hell out of it.
Anyway, glad I'm writing this here and not in the cars for breaking section!
If anyone saw me do this let me know (shouldn't need to say where it was as if you saw this you would know!) as would love to know what it looked like.

Felt a little foolish??? Many of the people who were behind me work for my company, I'll probably have to start riding my bicycle to work! Don't say you dread moments like that - I don't want any more moments like that again!

I can testify that Dave never did this last night with myself and Richie in his car. Nope, he never did it.

1st of all....... ROFL Dave :D:D:D:D;);):D:D:D:D
2nd, I've not tried traction control in a RWD car so I'm not gonna all self riteous (man  some1 tell me how to spell that word :D ) but I for 1, know that whenever I get in my car and floor it, that there is every chance of it loosing traction and spitting me in whichever direction it pleases... I think that if I had TC I would possibly have a little to much faith in it, and possibly end up doing exactly what has just happened to you...
Lucky tho.. and 540  that's alota degree's :D:D:D:D

GN, ive spotted you before going towards Croydon, you mention a roundabout, and several lanes... This wouldn't be by Fairfield Halls would it??!
Reminds me of Raving Default at the services on the way to RR1 ;)
Oh, and AFAIK, the RL system doesn't actually start working until about 20mph or so...

Tim, F1 GSD-3s (were fairly new before this!), and it wasn't so much a case of needing new underwear but needing about 8 litres of water to deal with the serious dry throat and dehydration scenario I developed, I'm not sure what you mean about which was I was turning... Oh and Thejames Wasn't Croydon actually, but by the main Kingswood roundabout. Right, it's 4:47 and I'd better head to work - GREAT!

went right ... oh and by the way, turns out I had a flat tyre from a nail (which I know got in the wheel prior to this as someone told me they'd seen the flat the day before but forgotten to tell me!) I can't believe I didn't check the rear left tyre as I could here that was the one slipping badly ...
Isnt this where that tosser from F1 says
"Surely the traction control was at fault, as he shouldnt have spun off there, what are -team name of choice- playing at!"
Look you think twat (commentator) traction control DOES NOT BEND THE LAWS OF PHYSICS!
Vez says:
Go to skid pan and learn car control, or write on accident claim form:
"Lost control of car and wrote it off due to a fuse blowing on the traction controller"
Ah read rest of post...
You dont check your tires everytime you drive it?

I would like to point out that Steve Carter has never driven his car directly into a wall whilst parking in Colchester.
That would be a crazy thing to suggest.. :D

Its ok, i think Vez managed it no problem
:(
Dude, there is NOTHING worse than making a twat of yourself in front of people you work with. Actually it's ok if you get on with them all, but at my last place of work there was this one evil bitch who really hated me, for no apparant reason. Sometimes I'd overtake her on the way home, in a fast - but safe - manner. And I'd get such a ripping out of her, she pretty much would announce to everyone in the factory that I was a danger and a menace and shouldn't be allowed on the roads etc. Wench.
Just looked at the pic of your car, seb. Love the gold wheels :D
I think I'm a bit of a magpie when it comes to gold wheels :)
Serious? They came with the car (had it 2 weeks now) and I HATE them :)
Currently trying to source something new.

Do you want them? I might keep them as a "ragging" set but don't really have anywhere to put them and would be too lazy to change them, so I'll probably be getting rid of them.
Ah, they wouldnt fit an s13 though woud they.
Didnt mean to sound to self thingy mo bob (cant spell it either and not going to try).
But I do hate that Ex-F1 commentator bloke everytime he blames traction control....ITS CALLED DRIVER ERROR!
