View Full Version : Just been working through all my finances..
.. and God, I'm depressed, now.
I can now state, without any hint of regret, and with all intended malice and disgust, that..
I wish I'd never bought a 200SX.
Is it time to go home, yet? :(
-D.
i'm feeling this too :( £6000+ in debt :(
Dude, try £14163.. for my one years SX ownership ALONE.
(Not including the £11500 I effectively owe for the Micra inc. interest..)
Not bad for a years debt, really.
:(

Well i've got a 200sx and a micra (ok, a combined age of 20yrs) and i don't owe a penny to anyone :D
Just a shame that i've been knocked back for an IT job in a bank because of my credit rating. Guess that'll be me unemployed in 5 weeks time...
I might be joining you in debt very shortly

you have a car to be proud of :(
Car itself, Insurance, Tax, Repairs, Petrol (did 19k miles in circa 10 months... ), mods, etc, etc. It all adds up, I guess.. you take out loans to cover loans, etc, etc.
Just realised one other thing that is included in that figure, was a laptop.. so maybe it £12,363.
We're reaching borderline "OMFG, YOU RUINED MY LIFE!" territory here ;)
don't do this people, you're putting me off wanting one, i might go out and buy a CRX instead:eek:
Working it all out, in 18months of ownership and only 15000 miles, comes to a grand total of £13,553 and thats not including the £400 or so i must have done in petrol going to SE's and back

moondogr, the only reason I've spent that much, is because over £13,000 of that is on modifactions, so don't spend to much time looking at what other people on this board have done to thier cars, and u'll be alright ;) :D

Yak... i'm in the same boat as you mate. Can't buy a house cuz of my credit rating either. I tried equifax for my credit history and they wouldn't even send me out my own info unless i send them proof of my last 3 addresses  I can't even find my keys in the morning never mind finding old household bills from 3 years ago.
I think i'll stick to being debt free and renting for the near future.
Not the same car, I know, but I worked out the other day that I've spent about £24k on the 300zx in the past 18 months - and only done maybe 5k in it..
Ok, so that does include;
Buying it, insuring it, four new tyres, Cat1 alarm, radar detector and laser jammer
Followed by a rebuild after a fortnight (ar5e!)
Followed by a 'few' upgrades, including Racelogic TC, stainless pipes, strut braces, £700 headunit to replace the £700 headunit that got nicked  , new drivers window from above, etc..
And then buying another 300zx :D along with a few bits for it like;
GT25 tubs, 555cc injectors, ECU, AVC-R, twin induction kit, and complete engine rebuild..
Had to remortgage the car to get out of debt from just the first 300zx! :o
Anyone feeling better yet? Lol :D

Moral of the story is.... Dont ever bother totting up what your cars have cost you! I never have and never will... I dont think like that anyways :D
Paz
Which is an altogether more sensible option :D
Blimey...
I only owe the bank another 4 years of my 5K loan. And I only took that out to pay my parents for 2 cars, buy a few bits for myself, and live a relaxed life for a year.

Thing is, i know the tuning bug will get to me, I think I spent about 3 grand on my '3i:eek:, admittedly, most of that was spent fixing rather than tuning it, but they're p*ss cheap to mod compared to jap cars. And the worst thing is, its now gone rusty and run out of MOT so I'll only get 'bout £200 for it:(
Might be alright for a couple of months 'cos I'll probably be scared of the performance:D :D :D

Don't worry, Phatty spent all his money on going faster and D is the unluckiest man in the world.
I have an SX that doesn't cost me a fortune (touch wood)
i think you've convinced me;) :D :D

Try owning 2 modified car (as below) at only 20 years old
Paz is right D, dont think about the money you've lost, just enjoy what you've got out of spending the money :D
Ok, how about having £13,000 worth of debt and nothing to show for it except a £270 headunit...:( and im only 22:( :( :(

I just sold my house, so wrote off all my debts, bought some toys, invested 10k and am getting married in 24 days...
My SX has cost me 5k in fuel in nearly 2 years, 2.5k in upgrade mods, and £1000 in repairs and consumables. Still pretty cheap motoring considering how much you lose when buying a new car!

Had no debt whatsover a year ago.
Then, I got a £5K loan to buy the car, Over three years.
I now have a £1k credit card debt and an overdraft of £2K.
Not too bad I suppose after looking at everybody elses situations.
Cheers dudes.:) You make me feel better:cool:

People stop mentioning debt.
The 200SX is the root of all evil, and I'm not joking. This car has got me in so much shit its unreal, and I'm still spending
