Why was I on there you might ask. Well I was trying to see if it was worth breaking my '3i, I asked how much i could expect to make from it and how much it would cost to the remains taken away. The fcuking moderators deleted it within 5 minutes because they thought i was advertising it which you have to pay for, tossers

Anyway, whinge over:)

Does anyone know how much to take the remains of a car away once it has been broken?

My local scrappy charges £50 to remove a car these days, I remember when they used to pay me £50

I paid 25 quid to get a car without wheels dragged out of my driveway and lifted onto a flatbed. (scrappy is only 1/2 a mile down the road though)

They said they would have done it for nothing if they could have towed it, and they'd have paid me if i could have driven it to them.

North lanarkshire has a thing where u phone them up and they come and collect it and scrap it FOC.
Apparently its to stop all the peeps abandoning motors here there and everywhere.

just leave it in a private carpark such as b and q, and in a few months they will get rid of it for u

Leave it in a carpark near where I live. Put a dirty great big steering wheel lock on it, turn your back, before you know it some thieving scrote will have knicked it! It won't work if you don't lock it though, its less of a challenge:D

i have an x reg xr3 sitting in my lock up i've been meaning to restore/break up for ages now.

Anyone want that at all? Done about 70k iirc and had a very sweet engine in it. It shot a ball joint on a r/b in colchester and the bloody rozzers came along and dragged it off the road - ripping the driveshaft out in the process:rolleyes: Fixed it all up using another car as a donor - changed antiroll bar, shocks etc. Did damage the front wing tho. Its been sitting so long now its in need of a lot of work :( so prolly not gonna see the road ever again.

It will be minus a carb by the weekend (need it for another motor) but otherwise complete. Will need to be trailored tho cos i dont know how safe the front end suspension is - i know it hasnt got any splitpins or locknuts on the major bits! lol

jus gimme a shout and come and get it - id rather see it put to use
