Hi
New to the owners club and desperately need some help !
bought my 1999 s14a with stainless cat back system bailey dump valve and boost guage already fitted.
Covered around 80 miles on the return journey and car ran brilliantly both cruising and on hard boost through the gears.
Problems started last week : first gear presents no problem but move to 2nd and 3rd and try to push past 4800 to 5000 revs and it tries to throw you through the window ! feels very much like a fuel cut. If i feather the throttle around the 4500 mark and work it through to 5500 slowly it boosts up again.
It seems to stutter around that rev mark when on very low boost on the motorway when cruising at around 85-90.
Boost guage tells me i'm not exceeding around 0.7 bar and i have made no adsjustments.
Replaced the plugs and fuel pump with no improvement
Help !

you usually get loads of people say boost leak probably your wmic can cause these probs however when mine did this she was overfueling and the fuel pressure regulator needed adjustment, hope this helps:thumbs:

I've ordered a new set of splitfire coilpacks and i'm gonna check for boost leaks from the wmic and dv at the weekend. hopefully the wmic is dead so i can go and melt my debit card on a front mount !!
