Who saw it on Thursday Night.
The guy pursuing a BMW driver that was speeding. An HGV pulled out into the third lane in front of the police driver and the fool crashed into it.
What a plonker. He had loads of room to stop and should have anticipated it would happen. It annoys me that people like him get the chance to stop me and lecture me on speed and danger.
If you are caning your motor down the motorway you should always assume that peoiple are not going to notice you coming up behind. I don't think he was even asked to retrain. The truck driver got off with a driving course. He shouldn't have been in the third lane.
But it was still the copper who drove into the back of him. I reckon the copper shoudl have been forced to retrain or sit behind a desk instead.
And the guy on the A616. What an irritating ***** he was. Telling off the truck driver for writing his surname and forename in the wrong order on a form.
Arrrgh
well stressful viewing.

Quite agree, what an indiot. Although the truck should not have moved into the 3rd. lane, the plod driver should have noticed the truck's right indicator was on and anticipated what might happen.
It may have been a motorway but they were coming up to a roundabout (end of motorway, must be), The truck wanted to turn right so went to right hand lane. Easy mistake to make.
He should have seen that three lanes was dropping to two before the roundabout though. Tons of signs.
Traffic Plod are so patronising and then wonder why everybody thinks they are a bunch of w@nkers.
W@nkers.:D
Did anyone else hear the bit about 2 experienced cops can watch you drive past & say " I reckon he was doing X mph" and if it's over the limit you can be summonsed to court ? WTF !?!

Yup - you need two pieces of evidence to convict you of speeding and two coppers count as 'expert witnesses' always been the same way - that's how they did people pre-gatso.

Guy on the motorbike was cool though, 170 mph
Did anyone notice the look of pleasure on the coppers face as he set of to chace the bike? A look that kinda said oooh great another chace
To be fair I think that particular copper who stopped the bike seemed fair. Lets face it doing an average 130 when your starting speed is 90 odd, your going to get the blues and twos. At least the PC said inappropriate speed causes accidents and not just the 'Speed Kills' mantra. The biker had also had a beer (passed the beath test though) and was riding in jeans:rolleyes:

I hope the truck driver did it on purpose :D

Actually the bloke on the bike was a bit of a t*sser, ton seventy, no protection at all. He'd be straight on Claims Direct over his road rash if he'd lost it cos those jeans would hold up for about a tenth of a second at that speed.
BUT I hope that if they ever catch me they'll under estimate my speed that greatly cos I' be on the limit ish.
Yeah that copper who hit the lorry was a complete t*sser also, advanced driver my *rse. I was already braking watching it on the telly with restricted vision and yet he still cruised on. Too much trust in his blues n' twos, berk.
Mike
...Like the t*sser in a Plodcar who almost wrote me off in 1997 by accelerating from the hardshoulder to lane 2 which I was just pulling into from lane 3.
No indicators, no mirrors. W@nker.
We had one hell of a row over it and they wouldn't admit anything.
Didn't get a ticket or anything.
Oh, and you write a letter of complaint and see if YOU get an answer.......
But, hey, they ARE the best drivers on the road:rolleyes:

It is an MR2, I've stopped the guy myself. Either way though, the car is as nice in the flesh as on TV.
