Hey guys i noticed theres a few of us who have to be up there for 08:10am for track time brief, so i was wondering what time we are leaving swansea and are you stopping at cardiff gate? if so what time will we be at cardiff gate as im picking some1 up from there!!

Was contimplating sticking up a simular thread as there are indeed afew of us up for the early seasion.
Now from previous years arriving at about 8:30 to 8:45 we have always been confronted with a mile of que's.
Which is very quick to clear but not until they open the gates alittle before 9.
I have been advised on the thread that clubs can get in early. But not sure how as the que phyically prevents your car from getting to the gate:wack:

She's taken my number and said they'll get "Rob?" to phone me back if he has any ideas. But It looks like its going to mean being at the front of that que, which'll mean a super early start.

My mapper wont let me start the car until he can be present at the same time as the builder :(
It's not ready to start yet but will be by the 5th, only issue is he will not be avalable until the 17th !

Just got off the phone and he's informed me that the gates for Trade and Clubs only will be open from 6:30am.
He said he cannot guard against que's due to the medevial road nettwork around Castle coombe. But he cannot see a problem with us getting in if we get there for about 7ish. plenty of time for problems given a 8:10 breifing.:thumbs:

Our breifing is at 8:10,so it gives us a 40 min window for a puncture or something :thumbs:

Yep i know i'm a nag! Just this is my only trackday of the year and i get stressed and want everything to go smooth!
Spent over a £100 so far,so if the tickets didn't arrive its an expensive day without a drive :)

Unless he has a stand pass (which he shouldnt have with a non-jap car), he will need to join a completely different que to you. That being said, i think they open the gates to general public around the same time.

Even at the time we plan to go, we will be queuing too. The access roads are not substansial enough to support even half the traffic that goes to Japfest :(

im planning on going now chaps but not on the club stand. Would leaving with you guys be too early for someone who is going in a "public" ?
Most of us need to be at jafest by 8 for the brief! u might be a little early but loads of people are all going to be trying to get in there as early as possible, so i would say come with us to get as close to the front of the que as poss.

Not sure if I can be assed to get up that early. Depends how late on friday I finish tinkering with the car I suppose. But if I do, a Magor will be my meeting point or possibly jnc 30 if I am coming from Carlis house. :thumbs:
FYI (If stand is in usual spot)
If your on the stand then its best to leave M4 @ J18 and go A46 towards Stroud and follow the signs for CC (right turn after a couple of miles, then nice twisty road all the way).
If your going to park in the public section then you want to come off M4 @ J18 but then take A46 towards Bath, then left turn at next roundabout on to A420 for Chippenham, the A420 is nice and fast all the way, follow the signs to the circuit/join the back of the que.
The reason you want to go this way is that the organisers will have a one way traffic lighted system up next to the circuit (nightmare) and you will have to que twice if you come at it from the wrong end.
