Well folks for the third season in top flight drifting I've got a new car and here is the story in pictures.

here's me old baby

http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i289/my_sxy_s13/EDC_0357_copy.jpg

the build took just under 2 very stressfull weeks!!!

but here goes

Here's the car as i bought her

http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i289/my_sxy_s13/15102007060.jpg

I bought a few bits and bobs for here like greddy fmic and apex manifold, radiator and fan kit
http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i289/my_sxy_s13/21032008111.jpg
http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i289/my_sxy_s13/21032008110.jpg

http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i289/my_sxy_s13/27032008127.jpg
I've retained the turbo from my last car, a gt2871r , and all the rear suspension and subframe which was poly bushed and had solid metal subframe bushes along with all the relevant suspension arms from Apex with spherical bearings on the ends for stiffness ( ooo er missus )

so we started fitting all the bits and then sent the car off for paint

http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i289/my_sxy_s13/24032008114.jpg

the prep was done by me and the paint was done by 2_black_lines. Huge thanks to his paint skills!!

here's the end result of paint. the colour is nissan storm grey. ignore the orange bit. emergency tow eye:annoyed:

http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i289/my_sxy_s13/25032008121.jpg

so it was back to garage kev sport for some polish and finish , thanks to tinny steve , get cage fitted and finish all the safety gear ( not to mention fit the rear bumper )

http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i289/my_sxy_s13/30032008130.jpg
http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i289/my_sxy_s13/25032008122.jpg
http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i289/my_sxy_s13/02042008131.jpg

once that was all done ( sounds so much easier in type than in real life )
the car then went for vinyl thanks to c the signs in rotherham and here was the finished product

http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i289/my_sxy_s13/05042008135.jpg

collected her en route to round one at donnington where she did ok. not running anything like 100% but still qualified 4th and scored some valuable championship points

here's the obligatory action shot. thanks to doristars for this

i was thinking that, even if its just for replacement pannels that someone wants to cut out and weld into theres,

definately worth sticking on the wanted section

it needs a lot of welding done to it to ever be mot passable again. plus it's not really a rolling shell at the minute

There's not really much of a market for that tbh, if its got teabags for sills and rotten arches there's not much else that's likely to be of any use. Bootlid would most likely be knackered too if the rest of the car was in that state. I stuck a post up offering my rusty old shell for free but had no takers, it's a lot of inconvenience while there are still plenty half-decent entire shells available relatively cheaply.
