Guys, Havent seen this posted anywhere on here and have just spoken to the circuit director and there is still plenty of space left! :thumbs:....... but it needs to be booked asap!!

I'm going down and going watch for a bit since its so close but not going to use the car, its a really tight circuit and my drifting skills mean i won't have much of a car left coming home:wack:

well gav it is a 2 owner car and she runs sweet as a nut however the exhaust is blowing a bit atm so need to sort that out ;) but other than that we shall see what happens on sunday mate lol

Well guys, just had a phone call from Pembrey circuit and the days been cancelled!! :cry::cry:
Least to say that Simons not very happy bout it, as according to Pembrey we were the only ones who had booked!!! But Simon said that there was half a dozen or so booked from Team Osaka :mad:
We really need to find some where in Wales to get an event like this together, as im sure there are lots of ppl who would participate! :thumbs:

2 of the Admin of Teamosaka met with the manager of Pembrey, there were a few issues with costs ect. once sorted full details were posted up on a number of sites. the guys just wanted to get some sort of drift day going but just because they are teamosaka admins dosen't mean that teamosaka should be filling up the spaces avalible!
I understand your a little upset with regards to the day being cancelled but I think it's a little unfair trying to bad mouth a club that are trying to get a regular drift day going in Wales, which you did bring up in your last post:

Maybe so, but unless members participate, then whats the point? Its just messes around genuine ppl interested in these events who have organised alot of other things and cancelled other things to partake.
If 2 admin members organise an event, the least you would expect is that them who is organising would take part?

There was about 30 odd people lined up to go to this event first of all.
The reason alot (myself included) dropped out was due to the price changing from £10 per person, to £50 per person.
The reason for the change was due to pembrey shifting a track day around, and the insurance and medical facilitys that were being shared before to minimise cost had now been removed, and the drift event would have to cover for these itself. This is from my memory though, so im a little sketchy on the details.
This, despite being out of Team-Osaka's hands, lost alot of confidence in the people who had already put their names down, which is why at the time Simon may have said there was a certain amount of people who had booked.
1 is currently having his engine rebuild, he was hoping it would be done by now
The other i'm not to sure about...
The details were posted up on a handfull of site as said but the interest just wasn't there, nothing can be done about that. Pembrey were saying that they want around 20+ car's to run the event!!
As for members participating, it is totally up to that individual person weather or not they want to partake in the day.

Thanks Marc, i wasnt aware of the price hike. And yes that and the fact of SuperSnax posting on Tramp Drift saying there was a handful of ppl booked is how Simon and i were told of there being ppl booked!!
And reason my post is altered is it offended you, so i was showing my kind side in removing it
Appriciate that, I didn't know of a post going up on Trampdrift about people booking up....
I'm hoping this happening can be used to get Pembrey to adjust their costs a little as they wouln't budge on it!! I feel they over estimate the staff required for the day. I was not involed in any of the organisation for this one but form now on I will be attending any meetings with them and making sure what is agreed is 100% fixed. Was very disapointed how this all went :furious: and how it could potentially affect Teamosaka :(

Marc can I make a sugestion for the next one for you that you take the bookings and lease with the track so that this sort of thing doesnt happen again as you will then know how many people have booked and committed and who have said they will come and havent !!! :wack:

I am sure she wont marc lol :thumbs: and I nor tracey blame you for what has happend just a bit of a poor show we paid £70 for the 2 of us to drive the one car and I was happy with that just to get a drift day going :(

I didnt have anything to do with the organising either Si on this one :)
But, I will be as will Tech on the next one... We will both ensure that we do not have a repeat of this one and everything will be confirmed before hand.

Apolagies that this was canceled, i can understand people were wary of booking after the price change but have now been told that the pembrey contact is a little...useless, if we had been told 50 from the begining then i think it would have helped, least then people would have known the exact details.
This event was only being ran by 1 person due to the rest of us having other projects on the go, TeamOsaka will attempt this event again once all members of the team are free to put they're time into the organization to make sure it runs smoothly.
Simon, really am sorry you were let down mate, i'll let you know about the next one and ensure it's confirmed to go ahead :D
