Seen a couple of Volvo's for sale locally on Autotrader website. One is just over £200 with 2 months tax and mot. Me and a mate are going to go and test drive them on Thursday and might buy the £200 for a laugh untill I get my 200sx back.

What I was wondering is can you check the turbo for play easily and how would I do this? Dont know if any of you lot will know about this but worth a try. Also what else shall I look out for on it bearing in mind it only has 2 months mot left and I dont want to pay out fixing stuff on a £200 car?

Cheers,

Richard

Don't get a 440, utter w4nk, a 480's actually very very good handling, can have lots of fun chucking it about, engines are either Renault (non Turbo) or Peugeot-Renault (turbo)... neither are very powerfull although they are quite easily tuned..

Electrics always go wrong on them and the clutch cables have a nasty habit of pulling half the bulkhead through, I had to weld a large Steel Square to my bulkhead cos of this, watch for cooling problems as well, after a bit of fettling mine started eating heater matrix's.

OK cheers for the advice mate. Like I said its just for a laugh as its only £200 for a 480 turbo. Cant go wrong at that really even if it blows up its only £200 gone innit :D

Cheers,

Richard
