go to a supermarket carpark first thing in the morning 1000 parking spaces, i park, that leaves 999 spaces left. so why the feck does the next car to arrive have to park next to me. i dont even park near the entrance

I've often thought the very same thing! I suppose its scientific evidence that humans are sheep.

Maybe they want to be friends?

Don't let the lazy eye, tongue out of the mouth, crotch sratching dandruff ridden facade put you off, he's probably a really nice guy:)

I bet its usualy a feckin great people carrier as well isnt it, they always track me down in tescos  I've taken to parking in 2 spaces as far away as possible where no one else parks. Even so I've come out a couple of times and theres 10 spaces to the left and right but some git in a people carrier or 4x4 has parked next to me.  Im going to carry cones around in the boot and create a perimiter zone around the car.

It's the same principle as interplanetary gravitational forces. Two large bodies acting in a vacuum will gravitate toward each other. Either that or they think if there is a thief about he'll go for your car first :p

Because if today is the day that a car is going to get stolen, you don't want yours standing a mile away from the others.
They are actually doing you a flavour.... just doesn't feel liike it, does it????

Safety in numbers and all that

I park in the parent and child spots. Fail to see why having a child should qualify you for being able to park in a space wide enough to ensure your cars isn't going to be bashed. Been challenged over it a few times but find that an evil look, accompanied by a fcuk off, soon shuts people up.

Why not go the whole hog and park in disabled bays JB?

I actually think that parent child parking / disabled parking is a pretty fair arrangement, trying to get screaming brats and push chairs + child paraphanalia in a car is a pain in the a$$, same for old people with serious problems like Arthritis etc.

I refuse to park in disabled/child places but I will park diagonally if the car park is quiet. no matter what you do with your car it is going to get dents, and since when I bought mine it was 9 years old, any form of extreme concern on my part is a little post..

Don't mean to have a go, but it does p1ss me off, and I can't remember the last time someone told me to f*ck off ;)

I never park in disabled bays. But I object to parking in ordinary bays that aren't wide enough for modern cars and that inevitably result in my car being damaged. All bays should be as wide as parents and kiddies bays. Besides the only time I ever go to the supermarket is late at night so they are rerely if ever full.

Have only once been pulled up for doing this by a woman who pulled into the bay next to me. She had a right go and when I pointed out that she didn't have a kid with her either, she said "but I've got one at home".  That's when I say fcuk off.

Get in my belly!!!

I see your point JB, and I understand where you are coming from, but it doesn't make it right :D

You are right, of course. The ideal solution would be for all parking bays to be made wider.

Either that or I'll weld baby JB into the back of the car permanently so that I can park where I like :D :D :D

Going back to the original topic, the same thing always happens in an empty cinema - people always sit right in front of you!

Next time anyone asks why you are parking there and they don't see any children just say you've got a turtle head poking out and you're just off inside to make a little baby of your own:)

They must all assume you know something that everyone else doesn't..

Like, all the other parking spots/cinema seats are boobietrapped..

Or, something.. :)

The best bit is when you're sitting in your car, and someones spoilt brat in the car next to you actually opens their door into your car - while you're watching them!

Tim

Simple explanation the driver just wanted to get a closer look at your car.

if the carpark is quite full i drive around looking for the smartest cleanest car to park next to, cos he is going to be as careful as me when it comes to opening his doors and manoevering out of his parking space:D :D
