:( :( Bastard ****, managed to crash my car on saturday:( even thoguh I am a shit hot driver:p car slid off a wet road went sideways for miles then hit a lampost then hit another car! Doh!
My car has a badly denter rear drivers side panel, drivers sdie door, passenger sdie door ir caved in and jammed and front panel on the passenger side is totally bent.
I think the insurance are gonna right it off by the looks of it:( only had the car for a few months:(
God knows what happened, wasn't even going fast:(

Know exactly how you feel mate, saturday night in second gear in greasy rain, boost comes on then bang 360o spin into oncoming trafic, missed a Golf by inches.

Really sad news, and something that is becoming almost daily ATM :(

Glad your ok though :)

It's a popular post, maybe there needs to be a sticky thread so people can just add their name to the list when it happens   :D

Total bummer guy,s me and my brother are ok, the car is not though, Norwich Union say if the repair costs are more than 50% of the price of the car they will write it off:( looks like it will be then.
What are my options????

Even Micheal schumaecer(spelling) would have ended up te same:p :p

Seroisly though, it was a wet road and the car went on the grass which didn't help it to slow down.

you can buy it back and fix it (if you really think its worth it) find out what cat write off it is. mine was a B (A being the worst) C being can be fixed (B car not to go back on the road) I've bought mine back to scap and sell parts. I hope Norwich Union are good to you. My insures have been good but slow. Heared a few bad stories of NU but i'm sure thats the same with every company. good luck :)

Sorry Imran, but I don't agree. A Shit Hot driver would not have got into the situation where he lost control of the car in the first place..

But as everyone says, the main thing is that you're in one piece. :)

Er I think you're missing the point. F1 drivers know the risk, they drive balls out and have less regard for the safety of others, than the average driver should have on a public road.

And
managed to crash my car on saturday even thoguh I am a shit hot driver is a little contradictory in itself.

You REALLY need to watch a 200 in the wet, Ive managed a half mile sideways slide up hill, on a duel carriageway in third from 20 miles per hour :D

I was highly commended by the three passengers for holding it there that long, two cars behind just watched as I straddled both lanes at 30 degrees in disbelief :D

CHECK YOUR TIRES ON THE REAR AND IF IN DOUBT REPLACE THEM.

Sorry to hear about your car mate.
Thats some harsh S***, dont know what id do if I wrote myn off.
I know its a bit late now, but ive found the best way not to get into trouble is to not boot it when the roads are wet/damp. My dad recently spun his car when it was Icy (1994 porche 911 turbo2). the idiot booted it when it was cold along brighton seafront showing off, spun it and bounced the front end off a lamp post, fortunately he only damaged the bumper but it was a pretty close thing. especially if it was busy. I think he damaged his EGO more than the car.....but their we go. we all live and learn I guess

still, gitted, the hardest part is that another party was involved. I had a prive from Nissan for the bits and they want
£444 for a door
£360 for rear quarter panel
£170 for nsf wing
£444 for drivers door

All this plus VAT amkes it over 50% of the value of the car. In this cse the car will be written off. I will try and buy it back and possibly fix it.

I also have a £520 excess:mad: Not a good weekend:( shit happens though guys. I still want to keep the 200 though cos it is a superb motor:cool:  Prolly the best car I have ever had:cool:

I checked my rear tyres just now, I found I had a fairly worn Woosung 195/60 on one side, and a 195/60 Fate on the other side, with chunks missing out of it due to it being a crap compound for drifting..

Is that ok? in a 213bhp stripped out car with dodgy suspension?
:D

what is it with this board lately, has there been a hormone imbalance or something but some peoples attitude is really shitty to be honest and a servere lack of humour. This poor guy has written his pride and joy off and feels really fecked off and all people can say is 'well you must be a shit driver' or ' think of the car you hit' I think its pretty obvious he's glad he didnt hurt anyone and didnt intentually go out to smash up his and other cars, but shit happens, i'm sure no one else on the board have got their motor out of shape or had an accident in their life.

So for fecks sake guys lighten up

I suppose i should be lucky a piston didnt fly out my engine and kill a cow in the field i was flying by at 140ish when my engine blew. :p

Yeah your right no one is perfect, I have a mate with a 200 S14, best driver I have been in a car with, the king of side ways and then, too much sideways motion, on coming traffic and a bit of luck, he and the car lived to tell the tail but another two foot either way and mondo bent motor. I bet there aint one 200 driver on this board that hasn't got it wrong and lived to tell the tail with that "Oh **** me that was close, I'll never do that again" feeling.

Real shame about your car.

Keep your head up

when i crashed mine last year the police came along, checked the crash barrier, said "no damage to road or barrier so we wont be taking this matter any further, make sure you get your car moved" then they f"£ked off leaving me in outside lane of slip road onto m25. now i drive this one very very carefully in the rain.... cos i dont wanna damage any barriers:eek:

Man there must have been something in the air sat night Imran mate, I stacked my S13 saturday night aswell. Me and my mate were ok too, was 'king scary though and i count myself damn lucky to be alive. The car is a gonner, but the engine is gonna live on in a new shell along with alot of the mods. All cos my brakes decided to ignore their job description before a roundabout and fail to slow the car in anyway whatsoever. No one else involved tho so i'm not gonna go through insurance, need to save that NCB.

It certainly seems to be a worrying trend at the moment, everyone please take care out there

Never floor a RWD turbocharged car in the wet....
I was late to pick up a mate once and I had to boot it to get there on time.... All I am saying is NEVER AGAIN!
I almost crashed and went sideways loads of times (i must admit it was fun:D ) but dangerous at the time.

I mean my car is standard (and I know the majority of cars here aint;) ) and when I floor it in 2nd gear about 2500rpm the backend slowly comes out... let alone when it has been modded!

To be honest I would prefer to be late to anything rather than have a crash.

Luckily I didnt need to learn the hard way..

never got mine to do that.... Then again, it does need a setup

I've got the prob in that I nearly spun out one night, so I'm a bit more cautious these days.
Having said that, I know precisely where the line is in the car - to the exact centimeter - and so hold the car there unconsciously. I find it hard to get it to do anything out of the ordinary.
Is this a good thing???

Ive found that to make the starion misbehave you really have to push it... ie to get a good launch you have to drop the clutch at about 5000 rpm and then you get a little wheel spin (well on mine anyway - in the dry)
but like you say I find it difficult to get it to do anything out of the ordinary. And I think that is a good thing... because when you want to push it you can... and when you want to "chill" you have the knowledge that your car will not misbehave unless you want it to.

Exactly. It is one of the most competant cars I've ever had the chance to drive.
Even when you've got it on the top of the suspension, with the momentum going right and the road left, you can still handle it perfectly on the wrong side of 80... Not that I have ever done this... you understand...
