Was driving my business partner to the pub in the 200 last night and he commented upon the fact that I was driving very deffensively. He said this contrasted with when I was in the Merc and drove like a right arrogant barsteward.

Though about this and I've decide that he's right. Also reckon I'm really arrogant in the Volvo.

However, in the 200 (same as when my little girl's in a car) I let the world go by, don't react when cut up etc.

Anyone else have changing driving styles or am I just a psycho :D

I found i drove a lot more agressively in my impreza than i did in any other car. I found myself thinking "come on.... move out of my way" all the time cuz the car just wanted to overtake.

With the 200 i find myself a lot more sedate and happy to sit back in the inside lane. I guess the 200 is just feels more comfortable cruising cuz id doesn't need to be fast to impress anyone. :D

i used to don a baseball cap and sunglasses, turn the stereo up and wind windows down, sunroof open and arms hanging out

Some good points, JB (as usual* ;) )

I drive more sedately in the 200 than the Punto!

I think the reason is twofold:

1) In the 200 you don't need to attack anything. If you want to go, you just go - and that's it! Muppets in their Vectras et al are inconsequential.

2) I look forward to driving the 200. I enjoy it and like to savour the moment. In the Punto I tend to be doing something with more of a deadline. Plus, when in the Punto I find arseholes in company cars like to bugger about the little guy - cos a 1.8 16v is impressive:rolleyes:...... That doesn't happen very often in the 200. And if it does......ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha :D :D :D :D :D :D

*Except for that mis-guided S14vS13 thing:D
