anyone know why I can't download?

for the last couple of days I've been downloading loads of drift movies. All I was doing was right clicking then 'save target as' which would then save the movie to my desktop for viewing. BUT as of last night it has started to just create little shotcuts with the name of the movie and the AOL icon:confused: Anyone know how to stop this and get back to actually SAVING the movies?

I don't know how AOL works, but it sounds like u've probably exeeded ur bandwidth.... :rolleyes:

wouldn't the bandwidth thing only happen if I was then allowing people to download them off me? I've just saved them onto my computer, they aren't shared or available for downloading from me:confused:

Like I said, I don't know how AOL works, but some cable/ntl/etc providers only allow you to download a certain amount of data in a day or week, e.g. ntl is 1 gig a day, if your on dial up this 'could' be considerably less.

bugger. at least it didn't happen when I was dowmloading the advan thing off you, on a 56k:eek:
